The Onekama Portagers defeated the Bear Lake Lakers in the first games played on our new fields 10-8 and 11-1. |

Stacey Keith was the winning pitcher in both contests, striking out 11 and walking 4, going the distance in both contests. Leading the offensive attack were Kieran O’Connor with a 2-2 night and 3 RBI, Alyssa Cole with 3-3 and 2 RBI, Sherese Revolt with 2-3 and 2 RBI, Katie Prelipp with 2-3 and an BBI, Stephanie Ashworth with 3-3 and an RBI. Chelsea Miller added a couple base hits and 2 RBI. |

Olivia Bolthouse added her first varsity RBI. “ Once again our infield
defense was great. We made some really good plays, cutting down 2
runners at home with perfect relays from the outfield to Sherese Revolt
to Alyssa Cole. The Portagers travel to Buckley Thursday. The Portagers
are now 4-0 in the WMD and 4-2 overall. ~Coach Keith |
