The Ski team wrapped up their season for team events at the Mount Pleasant Invitational held on Snowsnake. |

| It was a very relaxing
time for all. With the warm temperatures, some racers chose to race in
their t-shirts. State bound Emily Harwell placed 10th in both events
leading the girls team to a 4th place finish for the day. Slalom for the girls went well, with Emily logging in times of:21.06 and :20.67 for a combined of :41.73 and 10th place. Monika came in 16th with her runs of :24.41 and :23.91. Kelli Waligorski, still battling back from Mono produced nice runs of :25.91 and :27.10 for the 20th position. Diamond Kimpel slid in right behind Kelli for 21st place with her times of :27.97 and :26.24. Mount Pleasant's Jaclyn Richards won the slalom event with her combined time of :37.15. Giant Slalom did not produce much difference in the placings for the girls' teams. Emily Harwell nailed 10th place with runs of :17.97 and :17.90. Monika Higley's first run clocked at :19.21. |
Taking 0.13 off
her second run Emily turned in a time of :19.52 for 18th place. Kelli
took 19th with times of :19.79 and :19.52. Diamond placed 22nd with her
runs of :21.12 and :20.75. Mount Pleasant's Jaclyn Richards won the GS
event. Forty eight boys participated in the invitational. Eric Somsel placed 25th in Slalom with 19.96 and :20.04. Donny Olson finished 47th with his runs of :23.94 and :25.47. Harrison's John Hudson won the event. Eric and Donny did well in Giant Slalom with Eric placing 24th in this event with times of :17.37 and :17.01. Donny placed 44th with his times of :19.28 and :19.19. Mount Pleasant's Dan Jackson won the event. A great time was had by all and the team can't wait to go back and race on Snow Snake next year. Donny Olsen is wearing his Onekama jacket and black snow pants, and Cameron Smith is wearing a long sleeve t-shirt and some blue snow pants. Sorry that I didn't get a group picture but my camera was being dumb and for some reason didn't take the picture. |
