On a sunny Friday
afternoon our JV football team went to Traverse City East to play their
Freshman team. Our Portagers took the opening kickoff and marched down
the field were from 5 yards out Chase Callaway ran the ball in a for a
touchdown and the 2 point conversion was good giving OHS a 8-0 lead. In the 2nd quarter Chase Callaway scampered from 20 yards out for a touchdown to give OHS a 14-0 lead . But T.C.East scored before the half and made the 2 point conversion to make the score 14-8 at the half. |
In the 3rd quarter Chase ran the ball in from 3 yards out and Dan
Gillespie ran the 2 point conversion in to make the score 22-8. Chad
Mallory ran the ball in for a touchdown and the 2 point conversion was
no good giving OHS a 28-8 lead T.C.East came back and scored to make it a 28-14 game and that was the final score making the young Portagers record 1-1-1. Report and Photos by Dennis Zupin |
