J.V. Portagers Lost to Vestaberg October 13, 2006 |

In a late afternoon game with a cold wind and
rain coming down the Portagers lost to Vestaberg at Vestaberg. Vestaburg scored with 1:59 left in the first quarter to go up 8-0 . Vestaburg scored again with 4:12 left in the 2nd quarter to take a 16-0 lead. Onekama had the ball down inside the 10 yard before half time but couldn't get across the goal line and the half ended with Vestaburg ahead 16-0. |
In the 3rd quarter Dan Gillespie ran the ball in from 8 yards and
Chad Mallory ran the 2 point conversion in to make the score 16-8. Vestaburg scored again with 7:16 left in the 4th quarter and 2 point conversion was no good to give the Vestaburg Wolverines a 22-8 win over our Portagers whom season record now is 1-2-1. ...Report and Photos by Dennis Zupin |
