| Our boys lost at Marion by a score of 26-16. On beautiful evening at Marion, our JV football team took on the Marion Eagles. Marion did all the scoring in the first 3 quarters but our Portagers came back in the 4th quarter and scored twice. Marion scored with 9:24 to go in the 1st quarter and made the 2 point conversion to go up 8-0. Marion scored again in the 2nd quarter with 7:04 to go and they also scored with 40 seconds left before halftime, both times the 2 point conversions were no good. Marion took a 20-0 lead at halftime. |
With 6:05 left in the 3rd quarter
Marion scored their final touchdown to go up 26-0. But our Portagers came back in the
4th quarter with 8:28 to go. Chad Mallory ran the ball in from 10 yards
out and Dan Gillespie ran in the 2 point conversion to make it 26-8 .
With 3:02 to go in the game Thomas Koon ran the ball in from 15 yards
out and Dan Gillespie ran in the 2 point conversion to make the final
