Boys take 2nd, Girls take 3rd

On a damp and overcast day the Bear Lake / Onekama  Cross Country team left BearLake at 7:00 a.m. to run at Muskegon Oakridge.

The girls ran first today as the skies stayed overcast with a mist of rain coming down at times. The girls came in third as a team and received a 3rd place trophy. Hesperia was first with 28 points. North Muskegon Christian just squeezed into
second place with 81 points and then Bear Lake was 3rd with 83 points
 
  • Brenna Miller ran a great race today. She was the first runner to cross the finish line in a time of 21:34
  • Shelby Sidor finished 14th time of 24:04
  • Ronnie Maidens was 16thin a time of 24:06
  • Anna Veverica was 25th time of ?
  • Katie Alkire was 27th time of 25:24
  • Calia Schodel was 33rd time of 26:13
Our Bear Lake /Onekama Varsity Boys,  ranked 3rd in the State, finished 2nd today behind No. 1 ranked Hesperia.  Hesperia had 48 points for first, Bear Lake /Onekama had 55 points for 2nd, and Hart finished 3rd with 60 points.

The 3rd ranked boys in the state brought home a nice 2nd place trophy.
  • 1st overall was Nick Swisher with a time of 17:16.
  • 5th was Chuckie Schoedel 17:55
  • 11th was Jordan Maxey 18:21
  • 16th Jaron Llewllyn 18:51
  • 22nd John Evans    19:36
  • 27th Donovan 20:14
  • 32nd Danny Brown 20:36
