Three Bear Lake/Onekama Middle School Cross Country runners were chosen for AAU Districts |

Pienta, Cody Graf, and Tyler Groenwald were chosen to represent the
Traverse City Flyboys Cross Country Team. Only 8 middle school runners were chosen from Northern Michigan. Each of these runners will travel to Center Line, Michigan, to run at Center Line High School on Sunday, November 5, to try and qualify as part of a team or as an individual. The top 3 teams and the top 20 individuals, not on the top 3 teams, qualify for the AAU National Meet which will be held on December 2 in Orlando, Florida, at the Wide World of Sports. |

 Cody Graf is a 7th grader who has also finished in the top 10 in every race he has run this season, and he has a personal best time of 11:33 for 2 miles. |
 Ryan Pienta is an 8th grader who has finished in the top 5 in every race. He has run this season with a personal best time of 10:58 for 2 miles. |
 Tyler Groenwald is a 7th grader who has finished in the top 10 in every race. He has run this season with a personal best time of 11:19 for 2 miles. |
