Portagers Defeat Walkerville
50-31 with a Great Home Crowd Cheering them on

Last night in basketball action, the Portagers won their second straight game beating Walkerville 50-31.  It was a great night with a great crowd on hand for our 1st home game.  Thanks cheerleaders and student section for your enthusiasm to cap off our Parent Night recognition.  Alyssa Cole with her aggressiveness finished the night with 13 points, 10 steals, and top skin points of 25. Stephanie Ashworth had 10 points and 13 rebounds.  Ronnie Maidens chipped in 7 points to go with her 2 steals and assists.

Kelsey Acker poise with the ball knocked down 6 points, had 4 steals and 3 assists.  She was 2nd in skin points with 20.  Marlee Herkelrath pulled down an amazing 16 boards.  Once again, the bench stepped up to keeping the energy high.  Now 2-3 overall and 2-0 in the WMD League, the Portagers travel to Brethren Tuesday night, but are back at home on Thursday against Bear Lake.
