6th wasn't a good day for the OHS/BL/BHS ski team at
Crystal Mt. If something could go wrong, it did...there
were timing and scoring issues, racers crashed...the
girls were short one racer...overall a bad day....IT was
a race that the team wished could be re-run from scratch
so that the proper times could be recorded.... Boys Team Placings Combined:
Boys Slalom: The boys tallied 104 pts in Slalom as a team. Manistee's Conor Pelton won the event with his combined time of :49.63. Jesse Ketchum led the Onekama effort with his 14th place and times of :30.76 and :28.62. Garret Samsal finished 17th with :30.30 and :29.57. Freshman Donny Olson came in 36th with :40.47 and improving that with :40.19 on his second run. BJ Jobbins placed 37th with :51.43 and after some trouble on his second run came in with 1:06.23. Boys Team Slalom:
Boy's Giant Slalom: Once again, Manistee's Conor Pelton won the GS event with a combined of :37.74. Jesse Ketchum slid into 14.5 place tieing with Clare's Todd Bauer. Jesse's first run was :21.06 and he improved that with :19.66 for a combined effort of :40.72. Garret Samsal finished 26th with :21.50 and :21.31 for :42.81. Donny Olson's first run clocked at :26.23 and he shaved time off his second run coming in with :25.54 for his combined effort of :51.87. BJ Jobbins' first run was a nice :22.97 but he crashed on his second run taking him out of contention in GS . The team tallied 126.5 pts for the event and 8th position. Boy's Team Slalom:

Girl's Team GS: Now here is where it gets confusing...times were scored, read, timed correctly, but the person entering them into the computer did not always hear them correctly, causing errors galore. Dani's first run came in at 20.66, however it was placed in the computer as :26.66. Her second run came in at :22.73 The computer placed her at 30th place, but when the math is done she would have been up at 15th position with her real times. Emily Harwell placed 23rd with runs of :21.00 and :23.91 and Kelli Waligorski came in with :23.25 and :25.43 for 28th. Monika was a scratch so no team score for OHS. Girls team GS:
Girl's Slalom: Once again, being short one racer, OHS was not in contention for team scores. Dani Olson led the team however with her 18th place finish and times of :30.92 and :33.51. Emily Harwell came in 26th with :32.85 and :35.73 , while Kelli Waligorski finished 30th with :35.12 and :38.12. Girls Team Slalom:
