Now
that's a Coach! Coach Zadow had to leave the match early
due to a family emergency, leaving the team in the
capable hands of Coach French for the remainder of the
match. While she was gone she worried that she had not
given instructions to get me the stats for the web.
Within minutes of her arrival home from her trip she was
on the phone with me giving those stats. What a Coach!
Thank You! The match ended with MCC taking the win with a team score of 330 to OHS's 398. Match Medalist was MCC's Ben Ennis who shot 35 and 39 for a 74 for the day. Followed by Mark Bartosz's 79, Jessie Rose's 87, Matt Smith's 90, Zach Smith's 95 and Zach Lomalola (sp) 95. Zach L. shot 53 on the front 9, but took several strokes off his back nine for a 45 giving him that 95. |
Lowman
for the Portagers was Jordan Pomeroy shooting a
48 and 42 for 90. Levi Capper shot 98, Parker Johnson 102
and Todd Lyman 108 for the scoring four. Also shooting
but no factor in the score was Drew Griswold with 122 and
Josh Cebula with a 133. Playing the front 9 only, Tim
Veverica shot a 55, Soph. Josh Briggs 57, Freshman Hunter
Slade 50, Cody Sievert 72, Kristie Sievert 75 and Donny
Olson a 79. Looking over Mrs. Lyman's photos of the
match, Chris wants to know..."Tim! That wasn't your
taylor made that broke is it? Ouch!" " You
loved that one dude!" Thank you to Coach French for
taking over the match and to Pam Lyman for the photos!
Stats for the Lake City match coming as soon as Coach
Zadow can get them from our athletic director, who has
already commented that the team was much happier with
their game play at that tournament. The team now stands
2-1 for the season. Your Reporter, Gwen |
