Elk Rapids Invitational Cross Country Meet October 22 |
The
BL/OHS Girls and Boys traveled to Elk Rapids bright and
early Saturday morning for their last meet before next

8:30 a.m. so the boys were checking out their course in
the pre dawn hours. They knew the course they were to run
was a little different then last year. It was a cool
crisp morning with a little cool breeze coming off the
bay, but the weather was nothing like last year's meet
when it was very windy with a downpour of rain through
out the day. This Invitational is made up of mostly DIV. 1, 2, and 3 schools. (BL/OHS is a Division 4 school so the competition is tough.) The BL/OHS Varsity boys today finished in 7th place out of 26 boys teams. Finishing in 1st was Petosky 55 points, 2nd T.C. West 102 points, 3rd Benzie Central 109 points, 4th Harbor Springs 139 points, 5th Charlevoix 151 points, 6th Kalkaska 163 points and then 7th BL/OHS 173 points.
