Bear Lake/Onekama Boys take 2nd at August 24th Meet The mild breezy afternoon seemed to get warmer as the afternoon progressed, but the Bear Lake/Onekama Cross Country team opening up its Cross Country season at West Shore Community College in the Mason County Central Invitational did well coming in 2nd place. |
For the Varsity Boys all 7 runners medalled as the boys took 2nd place behind Division 3 arch Rival Benzie Central. Crossing the line first for the boys was Senior Josh Groenwald in 3rd place with time of 17:56, Junior Nick Swisher was 4th with a time of 18:07, Senior Nate Milarch was 9th at 19:06, Sophomore Jordan Maxey was 16th at 19:43. |
Senior Ryan Brown
was 21st at 20:27, Freshman Shawn Gonyon was 26th at
21:06 and Freshman Jaron Llewellyn was 35th at 22:40. |
In the Boys JV race finishing in 10th place was Junior Donovan Alkire with a time of 22:18 and the only JV runner to Medal. He was followed by Sophomore Nick Bradford in 11th place at 22:54; Freshman John Evans was 17th place at 23:23; Sophomore Mark was 18th time of 23:56th. |
