in the second West Michigan D Jamboree of the season,
held on May 4th at Brethren.

Senior Chris Smith
placed first in the shot put with a personal best of
395", and also took third in the discus. In
the 800 meter run, senior Luke Allen was just a stride
away from the school record (2:00, held by Tigran
Bailey), winning that event with a personal best of
2:01.04.

scoring sheets indicate first through sixth place only,
several Portagers worked hard to score personal bests.
Senior Dominic Morrill had a shot put PR of
294"; senior Josh Vertalka scored a PR
in the long jump with a leap of 137";
sophomore Nicholas Schmoke posted a PR of 3:07 in
the 800 meter run while freshman Nick Bradford
raced to an 800 meter PR of 2:36.8.
