Muskegon Oakridge Invitational
September 25, 2004

On the 9/25/04 the BL/OHS CC team left Bear Lake at 7:30 a.m. for the Muskegon Oakridge Inv. The 7th & 8th graders didn't run today.

The girls ran at 10:30 a.m, on a cool morning, a great morning for running. They only had 3 runners today, not enough for a team. Finishing in

7th was Ashley Zupin 23:56 Medal;
9th Ronnie Maidens 24:21 Medal;
22th Carman Hayes 26:34 Medal.

Great job girls as Oakridge gives out a nice Medal.

Overall team winner for the girls were

1st place Hesperia with 40 point,
2nd North Muskegon 72 points and
3rd MCE with 88 points.

The Junior Varsity Boys ran at 11:30 a.m with all divisions running together for this race.

58th Justin Zupin 21:59 Personal Best,
running his first race in CC Matt Fredericks 93 place 28:53.

Finally at 1:00 p.m. the BL/OHS Varsity boys got a their chance to run. Fortunately it still was cloudy and cool. They took 1st place in their Division and Brought home a nice trophy.

1st BL/OHS with 42 points following closely in
2nd place Hesperia with 50 points,
3rd place MCE with 77 points

All 3 teams will be at the Regional meet on 10/30/04 to be held at Benzie.

For the Boys finishing

1st was Josh Groenwald 16:59 Medal,
4th Nick Swisher 17:34 Medal,
9th Ryan Brown 18:08 Medal,
13rd Nate Milarch 18:21 Medal,
15th Jordan Maxey 18:24 Medal,
30rd Luke Allen 18:58 Medal and
31st Nick Sidor 19:12 and missing a medal by one spot.

	On your marks get set... and the boys, along with their close rivals, are off to win another race.
	The girls, with Coach Schultz, show off their medals. Unfortunately the girls didn't have enough runners for a full team. Come on, Coach. You could have joined the team!
	Top ten finishers include three Bear Lake Boys: 1st was Josh Groenwald 16:59 4th Nick Swisher 17:34 9th Ryan Brown 18:08
	Two Bear Lake Girls finished in the top ten 7th was Ashley Zupin 23:56 9th Ronnie Maidens 24:21 Great job girls as Oakridge gives out a nice Medal.
