Mesick Invitaional Cross Country

The Junior High was the first to run today with the 95 Boys and Girls running together.
There was no Trophy for first place, just medals for the top 15 boys and girls finishers.
  • 1st place team was Kingsley with 59 points
  • 2nd BL/OHS with 84 points
  • 3rd Manton d with 112 points

Overall finishers for the Junior High Boys:

  • 4th Shawn Gonyon 12:30 Medal
  • 7th Jaron Llewellyn 12:46 Medal
  • 12th Chad Mallory 13:08 and Medal
  • 17th John Evans 13:17
  • 45th Danny Brown 14:30
  • 74th John Tribley 16:19

For the Junior High Girls:

  • 53rd Shelby Sidor 11th for girls 14:47 Medal
  • 62nd Courtney Swisher 15th for girls 15:06 Medal,
  • 70th Anna Vevrica 19th for girls 16:03
  • 75th Mallory Mattson 23rd for girls 16:19.

We had five girls in the Varsity Girls race tonight. They gave out Trophies to the top three finishers. plus 25 Medals

  • 1st was Big Rapids Crossroads Academy with 48 points ( they also are currently No.1 Ranked in Division 4th team in the State)
  • 2nd Suttons Bay 77 points
  • 3rd was MCE with 100 points
  • 6th BL/OHS/MCC finished with 152 points

Overall finish for our Varsity Girls:

  • 15th Senior Jackie Bladzik 22:21 Medal,
  • 22nd Ronnie Madiens 23:56 Medal,
  • 23rd Senior Ashley Zupin 23:58 Medal(Ronnie and Ashley were side by side just about the whole race)
  • 42nd Carmen Hayes time of 27:06
  • 50th Cali Schoedel.time of 33:57

 At Mesick the JV and Varsity ran together, and they counted the top 5 places for each team.
They gave 3 trophies and 25 Medals.
  • 1st was Pine River with 47 points
  • 2nd BL/OHS with 55 points
  • 3rd was Kingsley had 86

Our boys brought home the 2nd place trophy tonight as we were missing Ryan Brown and Nate Milarch, both recovering from injuries.
