8/26 Mesick - Away 6:00 Onekama Won 59- 42. Marylynn scored 18 points, Erica 13, Bonnie 9 . Marlee contributed four steals Pictures
9/3 Frankfort -Away Onekama lost 52 - 25. On Friday night OHS girls BB team got beat by Frankfort 52-25 in a non-conference game at Frankfort Erica Jach had 9 points, Mary Bradford & Bonnie Harthun 4 points each to lead the Portagers in scoring.
9/7 Pentwater -Home Onekama defeated the Falcons of Pentwater by the score of 54-29. Scoring for the Portagers were Mary Bradford with 21, Jade Bolthouse with 11, Erica Jach with 10, and Bonnie Harthun with 8. Ashley Johnson and Ginny Carlson with 2 each. Leading rebounder for the Portager was Erica Jach with 11 boards Bonnie Harthun led Onekama with assists with 3. Mary Bradford led the team in steals with 8. Top two players in our sportsmanship stats were Erica Jach with 20 points and Mary Bradford with 13. The girls basketball team is now 2 and 1 on the season.

In the Home opener for the Varsity Bonnie Harthun sang the National Athem before the start of the game and then they played the Pentwater Falcons.

9/23 -Home BearLake The Portagers defeated the Lakers 63-37. Scoring for the Portagers: Mary Bradford, Bonnie Harthun, erica Jach, Ashley Johnson 6, Sarah Acker 5, Jade Bolthouse. Leading rebounder was Bonnie Harthun with 7 boards. Mary Bradford led in assists with 5. Jade Bolthouse led the team with 5 steals. Top two players in our Sportsmanship stats were Erica Jach with 18 and Ginny Carlson with 12. The Team is now 6 and 2 for the season.

9/30 -Home Baldwin The Portagers defeated the Panthers of Baldwin by a score of 53 to 22. Scoring for the Portagers was Mary Bradford with 14, Bonnie Harthun with 12, Sarah Acker with 7, Ginny Carlson and Marlee Herkelrath with 5 each, Jade Bolthouse and Erica Jach with 4 each, and Ashley Johnson with 2. Leading rebounder for the Portagers were Carlson and Jach with 8 boards. Bradford led in assists with 3. Harthun led in steals with 4. The top two players in our sportsmanship stats were Erica Jach with 19 points and Marlee Herkelrath with 13. The girls team is now 7 and 3 for the season.
10/5 Away Pentwater - The Portagers defeated the Pentwater Falcons 55-39. Mary Bradford made 26 points, Bonnie Harthun 9, Erica Jach 8, Ginny Carlson 7, Sarah Acker 4 and Marlee Herkelrath 1. 10/7 MCE (Custer) Away The Portagers lost to the Cardinals of Custer by a score of 33 - 35. Bonnie Harthun had 13 points, Mary Bradford 12, Erica Jach 6, and Sarah Acker 2. Leading rebounder for the Portagers was Erica with 8 boards. Mary led with 2 assists. Bonnie led the 3 steals. Top in Sportsmanship stats were Erica with 39 and Bonnie with 15. The team is now 8 and 4 on the season.
10/12 MCE - Home From the e-mailed News Advocate: Marylynn Bradford drove the lane for a layup to score the 1,000th point of her girls’ basketball career at Onekama High School Tuesday night, and the Portagers finished the night with a Huge 41-35 victory over Mason County Eastern. Scoring for the Portagers : Mary Bradford 17, Bonnie Harthun 6, Jade Bolthouse, Ginny Carlson 4, Marlee Herkelrath and Sarah Acker 3 each, Erica Jach 1. Leading rebounder was Bonnie with 7 boards. 10/14 Walkerville - Away The Portagers lost to the Wildcats 35-52. Scoring for the Portagers were Mary Bradford with 17, Erica Jach with 9, Marlee, Sarah, Bonnie and Ginny each had 2. Ashley had 1. Erica had 8 rebounds, Jade and Bonnie each had two assists. Erica had 3 steals. The top two players in sportsmanship stats were Marlee with 19 and Erica with 17.
10/19 Brethren -Home Onekama Portagers had a 52-27 Western Michigan D League victory over Brethren. Mary Bradford 20 points, Erica Jach 17, Jade Bolthouse 7, Ginny 4, Ashley and Marlee 2 each. 10/21 Bear Lake - Away Onekama defeated the Lakers 62-48. Mary had 22 points, Erica had 21. Bonnie came up with 7. Ashley and Ginny had 4 each. Jade and Marlee had 1 each. Bonnie was the leading rebounder with 13 boards. Jade led in assists with 4. Erica led with 7 steals.
10/28 Baldwin -Away Onekama defeated the Panthers of Baldwin 64-35. Mary had 25 points, Bonnie 14, Erica 8, Sarah 7, Ginny 5, Jade 3 and Marlee 2. Bonnie and Ginny were leading rebounders with 5 each. Jade, Marlee, Sarah, Bonnie and Mary each had two assists! Jade led the team with 4 steals. Top two players in Sportsmanship stats were Erica with 15 and Bonnie with 11. The team is now 12 and 5. Congratulations to the Girls on winning the 2004 WMD Conference Championship!
11/2 MCC - Away Onekama defeated MCC Sabers 46-41. Mary had 21 points, Erica 17, Jade, Marlee, Sarah and Ashley each had two. Leading rebounders was Erica with 13 boards. Mary led with 3 assisgs, and 6 steals. Top players in sportsmanship stats were Erica with 29 and Ginny with 21. The girls team is now 13 and 5 for the season.
11/4 Leeland -Home The Portagers lost to the Comets of Leland 36-39. Mary had 21 points. Erica had 9, Jade had 4 and Sarah had 2. Erica was the leading rebounder with 6. Sarah led with 4 assists. Mary and Sarah each had 2 steals. Top players in sportsmanship stats were Erica with 9 and Marlee with 7.
