Counseling Updates From the High/Middle School

Addition to the Counseling Staff

It is Onekama Consolidated Schools fortune to be able to have an Intern Counselor working in the district for the Second Semester this year. Susan Stendel is doing her K-12 School Guidance Internship under Mr. McKenney’s supervision.

Susan attends Western Michigan University studying in the Counseling Education/ Counseling Psychology Program. She will learn the different aspects of School Guidance and Counseling and be able to assist in the daily activities of the counseling department. Ms. Stendel is here Monday through Wednesday 12:30-5:00 p.m.

Ms. Stendel also works at Munson Medical Center in the Memory & Attention Training program. She is the parent of one son Andrew (Drew) age 05 who attends Kindergarten. In her spare time, what little there is, she enjoys biking, skiing and scrapbooking.

Upon graduation in August 2005 with her MA in School Guidance and Limited Professional Counselors License, she hopes to seek employment in a local school system.
