State Meet

The Boys Varsity took 6th place with 192 points.

  • Nick Swisher 49th 17:21.90 Second Freshman to finish race by 6 second time difference.
  • Dan Diesing 90th 17:56.65
  • Andy Desmaris 101st 18:01.85
  • Nate Milarch 106th 18:07.85
  • Nick Sidor 121st 18:17.80
  • Alternate was Casey Pomery

The first 30 boys and first 30 girls to cross the finish line are given a medal and make All State in each Division. For the BL/OHS/MCC girls Erica Jach made All State. For the boys Luke Allen and Josh Groenwald made All State.

Ken Swisher writes, "Thank you for the update on the web site. Yes we are VERY proud of both our kids and their cross country accomplishments this season. All Parents, Students and Teachers should be VERY proud of "OUR" Cross Country Teams for an outstanding season." Ken sent along the boys' results.

The Girls finished in 9th place with a score of 257.

  • Girls alternate was Cali Schoedel

Traverse City St. Francis was first with 135 points, 2nd Ann Arbor Greenhills 152 points, Big Rapids Cross Roads was 3rd with 166 points and 4th was Potterville with 228 points and BL/OHS/MCC was 9th with 257 points as from 4th to 9th there was ony 29 points difference and in CC that's not a lot of points.

Congratulations to all the runners, parents,fans and coaches on another fine season and their support through the season and a great job at state. Also congratulations to our Seniors from the CC team and good luck in the future the Seniors are Elsie Ocelnik, Renee Pienta, Alex Savory, Dan Diesing, Casey Pomery, and Kellen Story.

Congratulations to Coach Dal Townsend and his family on the arrival of their 2nd daughter, Tari, born 10/29/03. Coach Dal had a very busy week.
