The Onekama Portagers’ boys track team placed second at the weekly Jamboree, held at Mason County Eastern’s infamous Cement Track.

Weather: Warm, breezy, lusty for the month of May.

Freshman Ronnie Maidens had a tremendous day for us finishing with 4 first place finishes , 2 of the events being run for the first time this year, those being the 1600m and the 3200m.  Ronnie has a great work ethic and positive attitude, she just does her best in everything she is asked to do.

Sam Mitchell had a tough day of running with very little recovery time between her races.  I’m really proud of the effort she put in today.

It makes for a very interesting close in points.
