Onekama Boys take Second, Girls take Sixth

The Onekama boys took home the second place trophy in this 12-team meet that ended in a showdown in the mile relay, with Manton and Onekama just two points apart prior to the final event. Manton came away with the win, but the mile relay team of Ryan Brown, Nate Milarch, Dustin Vandervest and Luke Allen put on Portager pressure with their time of 3:43 to place second. Meet champion Manton scored 89 pts., followed by Onekama with 85 pts; Frankfort,79 pts; Mesick, 46; Mason County Eastern, 40; Brethren, 38; Buckley, 34; Baldwin, 32: Marion, 31: Glen Lake, 19:, Walkerville, 6; NMC,0.
