Brethren vs Onekama

<--All eyes on the game. The girls knew they needed some runs right now to recover.

Brethren vs Onekama

Walks and errors allowed Brethren to take 2 from the Lady Portagers at the Brethren diamond. Onekama lost 15-1 and 10-3. Harthun scored the only run in the first game with Tara Lyman getting the RBI. Carlson, Lyman, Peterson and Dalke each had a single, with Harthun getting 2. Gillespie walked 12 tonight. Game 2 brought a breath of new hope as the girls had the lead the first couple of innings. They proceeded to hold a tie with Brethren, and even when the Bobcats pulled ahead by 2 they were still in the game. But ,the 5th inning brought disaster with walks and fielding errors allowing Brethren to take charge of the game. Jach scored twice and Harthun once for the Portagers. Harthun, Carlson and Lyman each had 1 RBI. Johnson, Olson and Gillespie had1 single and logging 2 singles were Dalke, Peterson, Lyman and Harthun. Tara Lyman struck out 1 and walked 7.

Wouldn't you like to be a fly on a helmet out there? What DO they talk about during a "meeting of the minds" anyways?

Our catcher was kept very busy at the plate tonight with pop up fouls. She did a super job!
