MCE vs OHS

MCE vs OHS

The Lady Portagers put up a good stand against the MCE Cardinals tonight at the East lake field, but lost both games 6-0 first game, 6-3 nightcap. Coach Fenstermacher was happy with the girls performance tonight in holding the Cardinals like they did. Tara Lyman struck out 2 in the first game. Jach, Harthun, Peterson and Lyman each had a single. LaRue got 2 singles. Harthun had 9 or 10 throw outs at first base.

Onekama had the lead 2-1 in the bottom of the second Inning. The bottom of the third, the girls got them out 1,2,3. Infact, they did that quite often tonight. Harthun had 1 RBI , a single and 6 catch outs. Lyman had a run and one single. Bromley got 1 run and a double. Carlson had an RBI and a single, while Peterson got 1 run. Gillespie struck out 3. Ginny caught a fly ball out in left field for a third out that brought everyone to their feet.

This is about the only ball that got passed the Lady Portagers at third base tonight! No harm done though, it was snatched up and all the Cardinals held their bases.

Ashley slides into third base and was SAFE! On the next play Ashley made it to home base for a score!

You have to look past the final score of the game sometimes to know if it was a good game or not. A lot of great plays were executed by the Lady Portagers tonight, and it truly was a good game, just like the teamstell each other in the end of the game handshakes.

Senior Ashley Dalke has this Lady Cardinal out at first base well before the Cardinal could get there.

Coach Fenstermacher winces hoping that OHS runner Dani Olson was safe at First base, but the ump saw it differently and called her out.

Stevie Gillespie pitched the nightcap game striking out three.
