Onekama Varsity Football: Sept. 6 vs Ashley

For those of us who braved wearing the " football game sweatshirt" today in temps that hit the upper 70's, low 80's..we wondered if that is how the team felt out there hustling on the field....HOT!

Most certainly not your usual football weather. Was that why our team didn't have their usual drive? Whatever the reasons, Coach Hunter and Coach Taylor will fine tune the team and have them ready to WIN the next game which will be against conference member Baldwin next week.

The team welcomes back Ryan Brown to the game of football!

Team captains meet with the Refs center field for the traditional coin toss

# 72 Brandon Hilliard and # 66 Chad Mallison wait for their cue from CoachTaylor in a pre-game drill while #75 Dominic Morrill and # 65 Jon Sievert execute theirs.

The OHS team sends the ball through the goal posts with a beautiful kick in pre-game warmups.

Coach Taylor fine tuned the offense during pre-game warm ups.

	The Portagers and the Ashley Bears battle it out straight to the end. With just 21 seconds to go on the clock, the Portagers forge onward with Tyler Aultman receiving a pass and gaining some yardage. The clock ran out though, leaving the team with their 2nd loss of the season in this non-conference game.
	The OHS pepband was at hand to play the National Anthem at the start of the game as well as entertainment music during half time and throughout the game.
	# 11 Dustin Thomas carries the ball in a quarterback keeper as the offense tries to lay some punishment on the Ashley Bears.
