# 62 Senior Mike Fredricks runs onto the field during the offensive line up introductions. The stands don't look very full for this due to the fact that most of the parents were on the field to cheer on the kids as they were announced.

Coach Hunter talks over plays with Quarter Back Dustin Thomas on the sideline as the portagers in the background are preparing to receive the punt.

Our Portager receiver looks high to the sky for the incoming pass as the TV 9 & 10 cameraman catches the action.

Dustin's kick is up and is GOOD! Pulling the Portagers into the lead! The touchdown leading to this point was a most frustrating one. Anyone standing in eyes view of the goal line would agree with me that we clearly had that touch down 3 times! Yet, the Refs would keep saying short by inches...*sigh*. It was there the first time, we are sure of it...but how do you argue with a Ref?

Cheerleaders, parents and fans finish eating and start to head back to the stands as the Portager team enters the field cueing the end of half time.

# 11 Dustin Thomas kicks another good one through the goal posts during pre - game warm ups.

The team stands at attention for the National Anthem on the goal line.

Mrs. Cress Smith, OHS band director, led the pep band in what turned out to be quite a crowd favorite...The Portager War Chant! A few minutes into the first quarter, the OHS fans wanted more! The band had us stomping our feet to the beat!

Onekama parent volunteers cooked up hotdogs and operated the concession stand for all the hungry fans. Football just isn't football without a hotdog to eat during the game!

Donning their Portager sweatshirts, I spotted our Webmaster Barb Eldridge with her husband Ray and daughter Susan in the stands cheering on our Portager Football team! We can never thank her enough for all she does for the school website and the sport team sites.
