The athletic group that was here 2-7-04 for volleyball night are, front row, Jamie Smith, middle row, left to right, Coach King, Melody Clouse, Miss Keith and Ralph Gruss. Back row left to right, Mr. Keith, Mrs. King, and Coach Keith.

Bored on these cold winter nights? Nothing to do on a Saturday evening? Got the Blahs? Coach King and Coach Keith have been having adult volleyball nights on Saturday from 7-9 pm at the high school gym. Students are welcome as well.

Real matches are held, scores are kept, but in a more relaxed type atmosphere. Friendship, comradery, fun, and shhhhhh a good work out for your physical health. You will have so much fun that you won't even realize you just had a good physical workout! Students can fine-tune their volleyball skills in a non-judgmental environment.

Far right, Ralph gets ready after Jamie sets the ball for Miss Keith to send over the net.

Jamie serves the ball with a powerful over hand serve. ACE!

Hands under the net, over the net, through the net...what are you two doing? Jamie and Ralph spar through the net egging each other on between game play.

Melody keeps her on the ball as it reaches great height to see if she needed to get it across the net, as Jamie gets ready for the block.

Jamie bumps the ball to set it for Miss Keith to send over the net while Ralph and Coach Keith are in the defensive mode.

Coach King comes down from a failed block attempt as Melody gets in the defensive mode as the ball is still in play behind him.

Ralph ducks as Jamie's serve flies over his head.

Jamie dives for the ball after Coach Keith missed the block when Mr. Keith tipped the ball back over the net. Ahhhh Darn!

To the left, Coach Keith gets ready to leap up to try and stop the possible spike that Miss Keith is about to attempt once Mrs. King sets the ball.

Coach Keith uses an underhand serve to send the ball into action this time. When serving the ball you can use overhand, underhand, or sidearm.

Mr. Keith uses an overhand serve and moves up from the serving line for the volley.

Miss Keith rears back and uses her powerful overhand serve! She is just an awesome player and should be an asset to any team she plays on.

Everyone got their chance at the serve, and Mrs. King proved to be a server you didn't take lightly either! Bam! and it was over the net!

Melody comes down from a block that just wasn't meant to be as her team mates work the ball forward again. Sometimes that ball is just too high and your team mates must work it back up.

*NOTE* There will be no Adult Volley ball 2-21-04 as this is Snowcoming Night for the Highschool. Additionally, there will be no adult Volleyball 2-14-04, Valentines Day. Take your sweety to some other romantic place.

Where's it going? Where's it going? Got it! Mine! Could be heard through the entire game. These folks took the game very serious tonight all the while joking and having a good time.

Coach King sets the ball, as Ralph to the right of the net prepares to block it when it gets slammed across the net.

Ralph Gruss also used a powerful overhand serve. Watching him play tonight, we saw where his son Alex must have got his athletic abilities! You still have it Ralph!

Jamie does another power serve and the other side doesn't even have a chance at stopping it ..ACE!

Jamie calls a timeout to try and break Ralph's serve. He went on to get two more points after that though. So the pause didn't break his success.
