Strong gusty winds at the top of the course and very spring like conditions didn't phase Caitlin Brooks as she swept down the course to grab the 4th place medal for Girls Slalom with a combined time of :54.00. Kaylie Mathieu easily raced down for the 22nd spot, Charlotte Kalbach 24th, Erica Jach 46, Amanda Redder 53rd. Job well done Girls as there were 72 competitors in that race! and you raced Class A through Class D schools. The girls tied Clare for the 6th place win in Slalom with both teams scoring 96.

Girls GS also brought the team some excellent standings once again against 72 competitors, with Kaylie Mathieu tying for the 19th spot with a combined time of :45.20, Caitlin Brooks 22nd with a combined time of :45.49, Charlotte Kalbach 33rd at :47.51. The course claimed 2 of the teams racers. Scoring 146.5 in GS gave the girls team a final standing of 7th overall..

Boys Slalom was just an awesome race for the OHS team! with the boys beating Benzie and Manistee coming in 5th with Benzie in the 6th spot, 96 OHS, Benzie 110, Manistee 132! Producing this fabulous placing for the boy's team were Ben LaDuke who raced down with a combined time of :50.34 for the 15th spot. Ben Momber snatching the 26th spot with his combined time of :52.27. Not to be out down, Chris Smith sped down for a combined time of :52.35 for 27th and Jackson Carter right on his heels with a combined time of :52.37 for 28th. Travis Berklund raced down for a combined time of :55.66 grabbing the 37th spot. Alex Harris made a great showing coming in 57th with his time of 1:03.13. Thirteen schools Class A through Class D with 77 competitors in this race.

Boys GS takes a slight turn and Benzie scores 75, OHS 115, Manistee 117.5 , putting Benzie in the 5th over all spot with Onekama now in 6th overall and Manistee still in the 7th over all spot. Once again Ben LaDuke flies pastmost of the competitors for 19th place with a time of :40.33. Chris Smith 28th with a time of :41.16, Ben Momber 30th ,:41.57, Jackson Carter 38th, :42.09, Travis Berklund 39th, 42.17, Tom Meoak 55th, :49.40. CONGRATULATIONS to both the Girls and Boys teams and especially Caitlin for her 4th place Medal! Well Done!
