Ellery read The Legend of the Petoskey Stone to her classmates to teach them about a fossilized coral special to the Midwest Region, and she brought in a Petoskey Stone to show the class.

Dressed in clothing appropriate to the American Southwest, Mairin gave a report on Tex Mex cooking and served enchiladas to the class.

Lillian interviewed a family member who lives in New Jersey and shared the results of her interview to teach her classmates about the Northeast Region.

Fourth graders were given the option to extend their learning about their assigned region of the United States by completing an extra credit assignment. There was a nice variety of student projects. Check them out!
