Onekama Fourth Graders at White Pine Village

On September 26, Fourth grade went to White Pine Village. Some of the places I went with to with my group were the courthouse, doctor's office, farmhouse, time museum and the fire station. My favorite was the Farm House because it showed old beds, old paion, no TV. I had a great time.  ~Sophie

In fourth grade my class went to White Pine Village. I had a great time! My favorite part was when we went to Burns Farmhouse. I liked Burns Farmhouse. It was very pretty. Inside it looked so different. I loved White Pine Village. ~Maddie F.

September 26, 2013 our class went to White Pine Village. We saw log houses, offices, Doctor's office, Mail Station, farm equipment, fire station, churches, graveyard and a gift shop and an ice cream shop. My favorite part was the farming equipment because I liked seeing some of the old stuff my dad used to have. Some of the farming stuff that was there is what I used this summer for planting corn! This trip was amazing! ~Lillian

I loved our field trip to White Pine Village! We  went there on September 26, Thursday. My favorite was the Marchido School. I liked the Marchido School because it was so old fashion. I learned a lot about it. It was build in 1894. At that time there were only 44 stars on the flag. Instead of paper they used slates.  Did you know that they could whip you?  If you wrote with your left had they could poke you!  They had to fit 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 1st in one building! I loved our field trip and I hope we go again. ~Maddy C.

On September 26, 2013 the fourth grade class went to White Pine Village. My favorite place was the Museum of Music, because it was very fancy.  I loved that part. I hope we can go again next year.  ~Ellie

On September 26, we went to White Pine Village. We went to all kinds of different buildings like the shipwreck museum. We saw a light house light. We saw all kinds of ships that sank. It was a lot of fun. I hope we go again. ~Ethan

On September 26 our class went to White Pine Village. It took about 45 minutes to get there. When I got there I was so happy. My group only got to 13 buildings. There were 46 buildings. When it was time to go I was sad. I hope we can go again. ~Breanna

On September 26th, 2013 the 4th grade class went to White Pine Village. When we got there we split into groups. I was in Lillian's so was Olivia. We had so much fun. My favorite place was the ice-cream parlor because we got ice-cream. It was fenomanol! I hope we go there again some day. ~Teigan

There are some pictures of a lot of the girls with their hair braided in a unique way.  This includes myself too!  Mrs. Mauntler  was a busy mom on our bus ride to and from White Pine Village.  She is so creative! We all loved posing with our beautiful hairdos.  ~Mrs. Bennett
 

On September 26, 2013 our class went to White Pine Village. We saw a Doctors Office and a general store, Abe Nelson Lumbering Museum and Marchido School. My favorite building was the Marchido School because they taught us how they had to walk home . They told us about how somebody had to wear a dunce hat and they would have to make fun of the person with the hat on. It was a very fun trip. ~Rhiannon

 

White Pine Village was the best field trip ever. My favorite spot was the Marchido Schoolhouse. That was my favorite part because it was very cool seeing all those old school supplies. My favorite part in the schoolhouse was the globe. It was hanging from the ceiling. ! There should be two teachers. I don't think one teacher could handle all those students. It was so much fun. ~Mairin

I'm glad I went to White Pine Village. It was so much fun at the Marchido School. Then I went to the Jokissen Barn. Then I went to the ice cream shop. It was so much fun at the White Pine Village. ~Michael

White Pine Village was amazing There were lots of buildings. My favorite was the Jorissen Barn. It was my favorite because it had old farming tools and tractors. I hope I can go again. ~Evan

On September 26th our class went to White Pine Village. My favorite part was the log house. It was my favorite part because our squad got to build a little log house. Our squad, Ethan, Hogan and I, were getting out of the log house and going to the church. We had a fabulous time at White Pine Village. ~Scott

My favorite place in White Pine Village was the log house because I liked the fire in the log house. My favorite part when my group got to go to the school house and she whipped my desk!  My group got to get ice cream for free. My favorite thing was that we saw a fake cow and a fake horse! I had an awesome time at White Pine Village. ~Ashley

On September 26 my class went to White Pine Village. My favorite part is the Pine Chapel. It is my favorite part because you see everything. It is fun to see. It was big and scary. I hope I go with my family some day. ~Perla

Our class went to White Pine Village. The "squad" I was in was the Mauntlers group. There was me, Lillian and Teigan. I loved the gift shop. I hope to go again. ~Olivia

On September 26, 2013 the fourth grade class went to White Pine Village. We went on a Thursday. When we got there there was a lot of other schools. The class got broken up into groups. Michael Mari, Hogan and me were in one group. First we went to the log house. Then we went to the Pentwater Post Office. After we got ice cream and ate lunch. Then we took a picture on the big stage then we left. I had a great time. ~Cadence

White Pine Village was a great experience. My favorite place was the Fire Station because the fire truck was amazing. There is this big blue house. It's creepy. It has a glass doll. It's about the size of me. It stared at me. That's creepy. My last place was at the barn. It had a lot of things. I hope I can go again soon. ~Elizabeth
