Fifth Grade American Indians Diorama Project, page 3

In social studies everyone in our class had to make a diorama. It was amazingly fun. There were regions that we had to chose, like Eastern Woodlands, Great Plains, Northwest Coast, Southwest, and Middle America. I chose Eastern Woodlands. you have to put these certain things in your diorama like, landscaping on three walls, house type, typical food gather or hunted, animals found in the area, and plants or trees found in the area. Also for extra credit we had to have a
movable part. Most people did birds flying in the sky, some other people did fish swimming in the water. My favorite part was at the end when we got to show our projects to everyone. I had so much fun making my diorama. ~Colleen M.

My project was on Middle America the Aztecs. When I was making it I had a lot of fun. The day we brought them in was January 7. There were five different regions. The five different regions were Middle America, Southwest, Great Plains, Eastern Woodlands, and Northwest Coast. I loved all of them my favorite one of all was my friend Colleen's and of course my project to. So some of the things that we had to do for our project were the animals that they hunted, what they live in, and for extra credit a moving object. Like the moving object that i did was a bird. Almost everybody did a moving object. only like 4 or 5 people didn't put a moving object in their project. Then if we wanted to put our projects in the library we could but i didn't. After hat Mrs. Brown took our grade and i got 100% on the project. That was a really fun project. ~Ella A.

My Native American project was on the Chinooks. The Chinooks live in the north west. In my project I made a paper house. I had a river with a fish jumping out of the water. I mostly cut stuff out of magazines. ~Aaron P.

My project was on the Cherokees. I liked that group because one of the characters in my book have that background. Also I carved my dugout canoe by hand. My dad helped with the hole thing. I loved my project and I hope I do something like it again.  ~Emma N.

Our class made Native American dioramas. Mine was about the Iroquois. they lived in houses called long houses, each house had a hole at the house so the smoke could come out. A long house can hold a bunch of family's. In longhouses they have a lot of beds. They would also spear fish for food. This Native American project was vary fun I hope can do it again. ~Caden J.

My Native American project was made out of Play-Dough and a Popsicle stick. We had to use a shoe box to put all of are stuff in there. It was not one that stands on the side, but it was sitting like the way you find the boxes!!!! Since mine was made out of Play-Dough, it didn't stick for long. I had to hot-glue it at school. For social study's that day we showed are box project. I was so scared that nobody would like it. After we got to see them, people were saying that mine was really cool!! I was so relived that people actually liked it!! Now I get to take it home today. ~Maggie M.

My tribe is the Iroquois. The house is a longhouse. I have a deer, bear,  bald eagle, and a pig. I have two people. I have a fire.  I have lake. They live in the forest. ~Jared S.

My Diorama was about the Grant plains. they had tepees. they hunted buffalo to. they had garden. I got A on it. I liked all of the projects. ~Justin Z.

We are doing the Native American Diorama's for the chapter that we read in social study's. We read the chapter about Indians there are many different types of Indians. The group's are the Northwest coast, southwest, Great plains, Eastern Woodlands, middle America. I did the Eastern Woodlands they lived in long house's in villages. They hunted and fished for most of there food. It was!!!!  ~Cody

My social study's project was fun. I got an A and i liked that grade. A lot of the projects were very cool. I chose Middle America the Myans and the Aztecs. It was hard until i really got started. I used clay to make a Aztec Indian, a elk, and a temple. In the diorama on the sides of the box that it was in i made hills. A lot of the stuff I got to use I got from the dollar store. It was a lot of fun and I liked the way it looked and I'll keep it for as long as I can. ~Gabriel N.

The Native America Project wasn't that fun in my opinion. I picked to do my project on the great plain. I had two move able parts. Both of them were buffalo. They lived in tepees. They had dogs and horses. They called horses big dogs. They had very little water. ~Kolin C.

Most of these photographs were taken through the view hole in the box. The dioramas turned out really well. The students put a lot of time and effort into them. They were completed above and beyond my expectations! ~Mrs. Brown
