The second graders went to the Spirit of the Woods Club today. We learned how to be a nature detective in our last reading theme. First we ate lunch in the clubhouse. Then, we hit the trails. We went on an illustration scavenger hunt, looking for things like animal tracks, animal sign, animal homes, plant parts (root, leaf, stem, flower), and some other things. When everyone was finished finding things in nature and drawing them, we shared what we found for each category. It was a great day and we had a lot of fun.
