Snow
By Matthew M.

The snow was so deep
We had to get plowed.
We went to my aunt’s house for two days.

Winter White
By Kylie G.

When I see snow
I say blow snow
Fluff puff
So fun
Now run.

The Freezing Breeze
By Ian W.

I see the freezing trees
And the woodpeckers pecking away.
I see children playing
And making snowballs
To make snowmen.
The brown is like a brownie
Which the white frosting covers.
Some people might think it’s delicious
Others think it’s disgusting.

Winter
By Chloe D.

Snowflakes are blowing kids
Are enjoying
now sledding, and skiing
And snowboarding
And walking in their snowshoes
Moms are making cocoa.
Winter’s delightful and remembered.
Winter will come back somewhere
Some how.

A Winter Day
By Justin Z.

The snow outside
Was 1 foot deep.
Kids when to play
In it.

White
By Kylie G.

I see snow
Snow that is fluffy.
I love snow.
It reminds me of white feathers and a pillow.
I love snow.

Lights out
By Kaylee

The power went out.
The candles lit
The snow was fluffy like clouds
Thick.

My Storm Story
By  John B.

It all started when the power went out. The wind caused a tree to fall on a power line, and that caused the power to go out.  It was not fun. Our house got cold, so we had to go to a hotel for four days. I liked the hotel because it had a pool and hot tub.  A tree fell down in my grandpa’s driveway.  I couldn’t get out of my grandpa’s driveway.

The Nasty Weather
By Kaden B.

There was no power in the night.  There was a lot of snow and ice. A tree hit the power line.  We had to go to a hotel and then I had to wait for my dad. My dad getting clothes and my PS3.   When we got back to our  house there was still no power, so we played outside.  We went sledding and my sister Jaylen were throwing snow balls at each other.  I couldn’t even get up, but she let me.

Marshmallow Fluff
By Taylor Y.

The storm is so cold it looks like the
Angels are having a pillow fight.
The kids are running through the snow.
The snow is shining.
The Kids hands are shining.
The days get cold.
The snow is falling.
The kids are running in the shiny snow.

The Day at the Hotel
By Elena R.

I was at my mom’s house. When it was night, the power went out.  A tree hit a power line.  The next day we went to the hotel!  There was a hot tub and a pool. I jumped on the bed and got extremely excited.  I had so much fun in two days!

A Day to Play
By Maggie M.

The little laughing children
Play outside.
The poofy white snow sparkles in the sky.
Trees droop with the white glittery snow.
Snowballs are flying
like if stacking
them to make a snowman.
The snowflakes fall gently without no sound.
Now is the day
A beautiful day to play.

Fluff Puff
By Savannah

When you look out at the trees.
You see white fluff
When you look up above
You see white sprinkles
Delicately falling on the ground
With no sound.
When you can even hear
And hear love in the air
You want to sink in the puffy snow
With loving care.
When you see these things
Don’t worry
Make the best in no hurry.

A Sheet of Sugar
By Dalron

The snow is like a giant
sheet of sugar
Covering the beautiful ground.
The way the snow sets on the trees is wonderful.

The Winter Poem
By Austin H.

The snow was deep and cold
I think we can turn into
An ice cube.
The rocks blind you
So don’t look at them.

Cool Days
By Maddie

Blocks of sugar on the ground
Bricks are gleaming
With sparkles of snow.
The children are running
All over the place.

The Powerless Sleepover
By Adam P.

My dad woke me up because there was a power outage and it was cold.  I tried to turn on the furnace but it didn’t work.  I asked my dad for some breakfast.  Dad walked to the fridge  and opened it but nothing was cold so me and dad and Kelton, my friend set up a fire.  After that we went to the Blue Slipper to get something to eat.  After that we went back to the house.  My brother, Lucas was awake, so me, and Kelton and Lucas had a Nerf war.  A Nerf war is when you pound each other with darts. An hour later we dropped Kelton off at his house.  We got back to our house, and my mom brought us food from A & W, and after that I played Real Steel on the Ipad. We sat around the fire and did nothing.  Two days the power came back on.  I was happy.

The Power Outage
By Kolin C.

It was a snow, icy night.
The power was out.
You can hardly see.
We had no wood.
I think my dog is frozen
At least the ice pops won’t melt.

Power Outage
By Alexia M.

My power went out while we were watching TV.  We looked for a lighter.  When we found one, we tried to light candles, but the wicks were too far down.  We went to sleep. When I woke up at 1:00 in the morning,  the power was on.  I said, “YES!”  and then the power went back off. I was cold.  I did not get much to eat, because we couldn’t get out of our driveway. I then went to my friend’s house.  Then the next day, I stayed at my grandma’s house. Then I stayed at my other grandma’s house.  Then we got to my grandma’s and our car broke.  Then my mom called to ask when our power was going to come back on.  He said today at 4:00.  I was happy, but when we got home, two of our fish died.  They died because the heated didn’t work. I was sad, but happy because my power was on.
