Katie's Journal

December 7
    Today in Social Studies we did an act on a colonial wife and her husband. Chloe and James acted it out. James was very funny and realistic. Chloe was shy and didn’t do anything, but stand there and laugh at her fake husband. The reason Chloe and the rest of the class were laughing was because James was doing everything wrong. He messed up really bad when he said How’s your husband? Chloe told him he was her husband. Mrs. Eicheberger didn’t like the way James wasn’t taking it seriously so she took him out. Chloe had to talk about the life of a colonial women. Chloe was too shy to say anything so Mrs. Eicheberger started to talk about something else. I hope we act out another scene in our lesson sometime.

December 8
    Today we had MiBLSi training. We had cafeteria, arrival and dismissal, and special events. Mrs. Lyman and Mrs. Milarch were doing cafeteria. They showed us how to act in the cafeteria for lunch and special events like a band concert. Mrs. Blevens was doing arrival and
dismissal. She said not to push, shove, or get into other peoples space. Mrs. Gilbert and Mrs. Eichenberger were doing special events. They picked people to act out what we are supposed to do and what not to do. We missed most of our recess, but that’s okay. I can’t wait until the next MiBLSi training.

December 9
    Today some of my class went to Salvation Army. We moved over six hundred boxes of food. My legs hurt and I was hungry half way though it. They were serving pizza and juice. A group of seniors were coming after us. Mrs. Brown wasn’t informed about this so we left early. We didn’t go to school yet. We had to take a picture by the Christmas tree used in the Sleigh Bell Parade. We had to take a funny picture and a regular one. I hope I didn’t pose too crazy. I wish I could go next year.

December 10
    Today I went with Mr. Mccarthy and Colleen to school. We went to the old gym. We played two on one. Mr. Mccarthy was on one team and Colleen and I were on another. We did half court going to fifteen points. Colleen and I won with the winning score of fifteen to twelve. We sat down to rest when a coach of some sport came in and started talking to Mr. Mccarthy.  So while we were waiting Colleen and I played one on one. We didn’t get to finish the game because Mr. Mccarthy was done talking. After two more games we left so Colleen could go to a birthday party. I hope I go again.


December 11
    Today we went to the Nathan Fitch Benefit.  It was at the Portage Lake Bible Camp. Lots of people were there. They served spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad. Their desserts were all kinds of brownies. After I ate I went in the game room. Mckenzie and I played ping pong for a while. Emily and Madison were playing with blocks and laughing. While we were leaving we stopped for a game of teather ball. Ty said let’s go he looked at us and ran into a tree. Emily and I carried him to the car and left. I hope Nathan Fitch gets better.

December 12
    Today my class had band. Ms. Joeseh is our band teacher. We learned a new song called Merrily We Roll Along. We also learned Good King Wenceslas. We always finish with Iron Man. It’s a game where you take a breath and see who can play the longest. I’ve never won before neither have the flutes. Ad we were picking up chairs I asked Ms. Joeseh if I could play a solo or a soli. I wanted to play Jingle Bells. She said I could if I learned the song by the end of the week because of the band concert. I love to play in band.

December 13
    Today me, Kelsey, and Chloe made up this program. We will play with the ISD kids and help them. Today we played teather ball with both of the Olivia’s. Before each game we would put our hands together and say team. Both of the Olivia’s kept laughing. Tomorrow we will play soccer. We told them to remember their tennis shoes. Olivia was more than happy to tell how she won. I hope the girls like this program. I know I do.

    I came in late for school.I sighed in at the office.Then I got my homework sheet.I wet to lunch for the last ten minutes.Then we wet to are homeroom.Then we wet to science for a good  education .I had a question  about a animal cell.Then we had gym that was so much fun ! Then we had mibsi  training for two years now. Now it’s time to go!

December 8
    Today I started my journal! At first  I thought  I was getting a new notebook. So far I’ve whote two days now. I’ve whote two days in day. I got to white this whole week including the weekend. I whote Wednesday and Thursday.The journal is due the 14th. I need three more sentence. I have to white 20 sentence today. Im done writing now.

December 9
    I went to salvation army. My first job was to fill boxes up with food. I think I filled 60 boxes up that day. We did a little packing. Aric and me came first then Trent and then James. My second job was to stack boxes in a row of six. Then Aric took my job and Trent job too. We had lunch witch was pizza and little bottles of juice. I drank five of them. That was the funnest day of my life!

December 10
     My brother Steven went to his Uncle Joe's house. Then me and my other brother Kevin stayed up all night. We played video games all night long. Such as Call of Duty Black ops and Madden NFL 11. We ate popcorn and drank Pepsi. I went in my brother Steven room. I started to laugh at a funny movie!It was called Paul. Then i got tried

December 11
    I waited for the Packers and Raiders game. The Packers started with the ball. Packers a led in the first quarter. The Raiders wet to challenge the play but the machine broke. So that gave the Packers got big yards. The second quarter it was 31 to zero. Then the Raiders scored a touchdown. In the Fourth quarter it was 46 to nine. That’s the game.

December 12
    We went to the library. She called off who had books. I didn’t have any books out. James started to read Ms.Poppers penguins. He read a chapter. James showed us the pictures. One was two penguins doing a belly flop. The other pictures were of all the penguins together. Nelson and Coleus were in a play.  Its a funny book!

December 13
    We went to gym. It was fun! We walked down the hall. When we got to gym we stenched. Then we went on the track. We had five laps today. When we got done we went down. We played floor hockey. We lost the first time. Then we won the last time.

D’Angelo's Journal

December 7
    After school to day I feed my rabbits. I have six adult rabbits and six babies. The mother rabbit is white the father rabbit a fawn color Interesting enough the babies colors are black and sandy. When the babies were born they didn’t have any fur. It took about eight day for the babies to get fur. When the babies were about two weeks old they started to jump around. Every day I taking them out of there cages and play with them. You have to be careful how you hold them because they get scared and can scratch you. They are getting bigger every day.

December 8
    My uncle picked me up from school. Today we went shopping in Benz. We bought all  Cinda of things cheap. I got smoked Turkey, chocolate bar. We were in the store for two hours. After we went to Ben Franklien and got some stuff. My uncle played around a bit then we drove around. So we talk for fun. then we forgot some food so we went back an d got it. We looked for cat food but they didn’t have any. So we looked together and hard. Then we went home and loaded it.

December 9
    I went to Salvation Army with my class on Friday. We loaded a truck with boxes of food.  Then we filled a room with boxes of food.  The boxes of food will go to needy families.  We packed hundreds of boxes of food.  Each person had a box to fill with food.  We worked filling food boxes until lunch time.  Then we were given pizza and juice.  After lunch we went back to work.  My mom came to get me and I finished working then I left.  I had a good time at the Salvation Army.

December 10
    I had my birthday party at the Manistee Pool.  My friends Aric, Blake, Jarett, Brendan and Chase were at my party.  We dove off the diving board.  We swam and played in the pool.  When we needed to get warm we went into the warm pool.  At lunch time my mom got pizza and pop for everyone.  We then went back into the pool to play.  After about an hour we got dressed and had birthday cake.  I thanked my friends for coming to my party.  I sure hope everyone had a good time.  That night Aric stayed at my house.

December 11
    Today I went to Manistee with my grandparents.  We went to Family Farm and Homes.  We bought gloves and propane tanks.  I went to Kmart and bought an iTunes card.  then we went to my great grandmother’s house .  she is goin to Florida for the winter.  After our visit we went to Family Video and got some movies.  Then we decided to order Chinese food to take home.  When we got home we ate and watched our movies.  Then I went to bed.

December 12
    I decided I wanted brownies for my birthday treat for school.  I used four brownie mixes.  I added eggs, water and oil to the mix.  Then I mixed the ingredients together until smooth.  I turned the oven on 350 degrees.  I then greased the pan.  I put the brownie mixture into the pa and then into the oven.  The brownies needed to bake for 25-28 minutes.  When the brownies cooled I cut them and put them into containers.  I hope everyone enjoys them.

December 13
    Today is my eleventh birthday.  I was born at 2:08pm.  I weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. and I was 19 inches long.  I got an ice cream cake for my birthday.  My mom and grand parents got me an iPad.  I have been wanting an iPad for a long time.  My favorite app is Angry Birds.  I also like to listen to music.  When I want to relax.  I really like to use Face Time on my iPad.  I had a great birthday.

Carson's Journal

December 7
    Every day at recess my friends and I always play football. Today when I was playing football it went awesome their were a bunch of interceptions. I am always QB because I can throw but I stink at catching. James kicked the ball their team received it they got pretty far. They were going to pass Zach throws it and James intercepted the ball. He ran down the field and got about half way.I pitched it to James and he gets a touchdown.We punted it they hit it but didn’t catch it so James grabbed it and got another touchdown.The same thing happened again but James got downed. I fake pitch it and throw to James he catches it but drops it.So the game ended.

December 8
    Today my friends and I played basketball three on three. James threw the ball in the air Trent and Jared got it. Jared passed to Kyle and Kyle passed it to Gauge he tried to shoot but misses. Trent got the ball and passed it to James who passed it to me. I fake shot and pass it to James who shoots and scores. Jared passes it to Kyle who runs down court and shoots but misses and Kyle rebounded it and shoots but misses.Trent gabbed the ball and ran down court and shoots it falls in. Jared passes it in and James stole it and threw it to me. I throw it to Trent passes it to James who shoots and makes it in to make us win.

December 9
    Today I went to the salvation army to pack food. The bus ride took about 20 minutes but it was fun. When we got there we just took boxes and filled them with food. Then I had to bring boxes to this guy. So then I seen some people drinking some juice so I got some. Gauge chugged his in two minutes it tasted so good. Then I had to bring up boxes to pack food in. I was helping in the back when a guy came in and said we have about 550 food boxes. When we got done we took some pictures in front of a tree and we got on the bus. It took about 20 minutes to get back to school but it was fun.

December 10
    Today my Grandma came to our house. I said hello and we talked about stuff. Then we played Sorry Spin. We ate lunch and we had a bunch of food that was delicious. Then we played Battleship. We talked about our favorite football team. We ate steak for dinner and it was delicious. My Grandma had my room so I had to sleep on the couch. I was going to go to bed so right when I closed my eyes I fell asleep.

December 11
    I played night tag it was so fun. So my brother Blake was it first. I hid under the air hockey table my other brother Tanner hid behind a bar. Blake counted to 30 and came downstairs and turned off the lights. He came wandering around whenever he made noise I’d laugh. Then I couldn’t hold it I laughed I heard him coming but he walked past. I saw Blake walk by Tanner but didn’t see him. Then I said Blake and he turned  around and couldn’t find me. Blake walked right by me so I tripped him. Then Tanner yelled Blake and Blake turned and saw him so its game over.

December 12
    I played horse during recess I had fun. Kyle brought down a ball so we played horse. I went  first but missed then Jared went and missed. Kyle went but missed then Trent went and made it. I shot where Trent went and made it so Jared shot and made it. Kyle shot it does a toiletbowl and falls out. Kyle has a H so I shoot  I make it but when Jared shot he missed it. Kyle shoots he makes it Trent Shoots he makes but when I shoot I miss. Then I get Jared an O but Kyle makes it. Trent shoots makes it but then I shoot it hits the rim and it bounced out. Game over.

December 13
    I played floor hockey it was so fun. There were three teams and my team was going first. There were eight on each team so Kyle and I had to sit out. Aric was center and He got the puck in so about two and a half minutes the round ended. So this round I took Haley’s spot and Kyle took Katie’s spot. We made it in about two minutes so we won the round. Next round we weren’t so lucky we lost for the first time which stunk. Then we were up again and I got a new position. We won next round so we advanced to the next round. So we were playing but we lost and gym class was over.

December 7
    Today I’m at my dad’s house. We are having a good time. I went outside to go for a walk and my sandpit was solid! Then I walked by the lake and the shore was frozen! It was snowing like crazy! I saw all the little birds fluffed up to keep warm. The squirrels were eating the bird seed, then they ran up the tree jumped branch to branch and went to their nests. I started to walk home then by the lake shore I saw beautiful rocks. The rocks were red, gray, blue, black, and all the colors! I wanted to take them all! Then I thought of keeping them there. Of course other people wanted to see them! So I walked home.

December 8
    It is the 2 day at my dad’s house. So far its OK. I got picked up by my dad. My dad said that we have to go to the store. I picked out a bird feeder for my uncle Dave. There was two packages of bird seed in them called nut and berry mix. Then I picked out something for my grandpa. I bought him a Atlas, tootsie roll, and a pair of gloves. He will not be with us on Christmas because my uncle Dave lives in Montana so my grandpa is going to see him. Then when that was done we went to Wesco. My dad got gas for the car and brung , Popcorn, water and a bagel for me. So after that we headed home.

December 9   
    Today again I got picked up by my dad. We had to stop to pick up some stuff. Then when we got home I had to play my Trombone witch I already did. So I told dad and he said take the dog for a walk then I said I don’t want to, but I did. When I was walking the dog half of the lake was frozen. I slowly walked on the ice but then it all cracked so I got off.A while later I raced up to the house but I fell. I started crying and it hurt really bad. So my dad told me to go ley down. When I got up I felt all better.

December 10   
    Today was awesome! I had so much fun at Little Portager Fun Night. When my granpa dropped me off I made a cookie. Then Jodi came. So we got our nails done. One of my nails was pink and the other was orange. Then McKenna  came  Then we had so much fun. I can’t wait for next year’s.

December 11
     Today I got to go see the play “ A Christmas Carol”. It was awesome! It was two hours long. Then after that I went to my mom’s house. Grandpa and I fed the horses. After that I went to the house. I ate a Quesadela ( a taco with cheese in ti) Then I went to go play outside With my dog Hunter. I had a good time.

December 12
Today at school I played cats with Jodi and Kaitlyn. We had a good time. When school was done we went to a friends house to get my bangs cut. I played with their daughter too. Couple hours later Gab and I went home. I went down to the barn and she fed the horses. The chicken’s name is Pumkin and the rabbits name is Ginger. I started toward home. When I got home I layed down and relaxed,

December 13
    Today was a confusing day When I got home I fed the horses. then went to the house. I told granpa I was spending the night. Then my mom came to pick me up  Then I told mom im staying at granpa’s house . A while later I got in granpa’s hotub. I had a great time.

December 7
    Today I did chores around my house.
I mowed the yard. I saw a snake. I think it was a blue racer. Then  I washed the dishes
with my sister. That took about a half hour. Then I helped my dad fill in the wood stove, and I threw the little pieces in. After finishing my chores I played video games. I made $10.00 dollars from my chores. Today was pretty boring.

December 8
    Today I helped my dad prepare for hunting. Muzzle loader season starts Friday. I helped set up a hunting camera on a tree. Then i set up the blind. Which is basically a hollowed out pile of sticks with holes on the sides for windows. After setting up the blind I picked up apples around the apple tree. My dad likes to spread them around the woods. I didn’t get paid for the work because I volunteered to help. Helping my dad was fun. I even saw a couple deer

December 9
    Today after school I went hunting with my dad. We sat in the blind for two hours. I saw a couple doe. I used my dads M1 carbine rifle. It’s an old gun. It holds fifteen bullets. This was my second time hunting, and first time hunting with that rifle. We didn’t see any see any bucks. Today was still fun though.

December 10
    Today was a boring day. I had no chores. I couldn’t go hunting. So i played video games. I have a PS3 and a Xbox. I also have a wii. I played Call of Duty on my PlayStation. Then I played wii sports. I'm level fifty on boxing. I played video games pretty much all day.

December 11
    Today I went to my grandmothers birthday. I saw a lot of people there. There was cake. There was ice cream too. The party lasted for three hours. I played games with my cousin. Then I ate dinner. My family and I had to go after dinner. We said good bye and left. On the way home  I saw a bobcat cross the road. I had fun at the party.

December 12
    Today Colin, Jarrett, and I came up with a game at school. It’s called Ultimate Survivor. One person starts off as a zombie while the others don’t. The zombie must tag the other players to turn them into zombies too. The last player that isn’t a zombie wins. The first person tagged is the beginning zombie the next round. The person that survived the most is named the ultimate survivor at the end of the year. A lot of people are joining the game. It is very fun.


December 13
    Today my family got ready for Christmas. I set up decorations. My  dad went to go get a tree. My mom and sister helped me decorate. My dad was gone for forty five minutes. He came back with a four foot tree. The tree was just small enough to fit in our door. My family decorated it with glass ornaments. I  wrapped presents for my cousin. Afterwords I played video games. Today was fun.
 

Blake's Journal

December 7
    Today I made chocolate covered pretzels with my Mom and Dad. First thing when I got home from school my Mom told me we were going to make them. So we got the white and dark chocolate out and melted it. Then we got the pretzels out and dipped them in the chocolate. Before they cooled down we put holiday sprinkles on them. While we were doing our pretzels my Dad tried to make smoother chocolate so he put in some cream. His idea backfired. It ended up a greasy curtled mess. So we cleaned it up and got back to our job. After we got all the sprinkles on we let them harden. Then we put on a green and red chocolate drizzle. After it hardened we packaged them in little pretzel bags. Then we cleaned up. So that was the story of our pretzel making.

December 8
    Today I went with my grandpa to go see our friend’s cow barn. We also checked out my grandpa’s wiring job. When we got there we walked over to the feeding trough and walked along it. We got about half way the trough and they started licking and nudging us. They were recently taken from their moms so they were mooing like crazy. One stood within five feet of us and started  flipping out.We stayed a little while until we got cold. It was 34* in the cow barn. I felt bad that the cows were is such cold weather. So we walked back to the entrance turned off the lights and went home. When we got home my Grandma asked why we were so late. We made up a joke and told her Grandpa was late so I started walking home. She was very mad. We finally told her it was a joke and we started laughing. So that was our trip to the cow barn.

December 9
    Today I went to Sparkle in the park. It is located in Bear Lake. When we got there we turned off the car lights. We drove from one light display to the other. There were so many displays that I didn't even try to count them all. My favorite was the one with PVC pipe palm trees. i saw a lot of other ones that caught my attention. My Dad’s Favorite was with a group of reindeer pulling a sleigh. When we got to the end we turned on the car lights and headed home. So that was my trip to Sparkle in the park.

December 10
    Today I got invited to a birthday party. The party was for my friend D’Angelo. This party was at the Manistee pool. My other friends that came were Aric,Brendan, and Jarrett.The party started at 10:00 AM, although I was there at 9:45 AM. At first we swam and got used to the water. Then we decided to jump off the diving board. Then I came up with the idea to play my version of water football. The game is played by running and jumping off the diving board. While you jump off the diving board your other teammate throws the ball to you. If you catch it you get a touchdown and then you have to go for the two point conversion. You have four downs, if you don’t get it within those downs then it turns over tom the other team. We played until we had to sing happy birthday and eat cake. Aric and I won. We hung out a little while longer and then headed home.That was my day at D’Angelo’s birthday party.

December 11
    Today I helped my Grandpa make my Mom a present.It is a shadow box for my Mom’s successful hunter patches. First we took the fabric and measured it out. Then we marked our cuts and cut it out. Then we placed the fabric out on the back piece of wood and glued it on. Then we put the back piece in and started wrapping it. It took a lot of wrapping paper to completely wrap it. After all the work we put it under the Christmas tree. Then we put all the stuff away that we used to make it. We sat down and commented how nice it was. Then we went back to doing our own things. That was my fun time making the shadow box.

December 12
    Today my Mom surprised me with one of my favorite dinners. It is chicken cordon bleu. She cut chicken in half and put Swiss cheese and ham in it. Then she fried them in bread crumbs and baked them. While they were baking we played on the Wii. The first game was table tennis. I beat Mom right off the bat. Then we played basketball. We shut off the Wii and waited for our food to be finished. Soon we had a delicious meal.

December 13
    Today I wrapped presents with my Mom and Dad. We had a really fun time. When we started wrapping presents our cat went crazy. He was attacking the wrapping paper and ripping it apart. We got mad at him so we gave him a four foot section of wrapping paper. He went crazy and kept him away from us for a little while. We got about halfway done when he started annoying us again. He started wrinkling our paper so we kicked him out. When we got finished we put put the presents under the tree. We were very glad to be finished. That was my fun time wrapping presents.
 

Kyle's Journal

December 7
    My best part of the day was when I went to church. The church  is called New Life Tabernacle. When I walked in  I only saw my obsessed sister you know why I say that. Well that’s a long story. Anyway I saw her on the steps drawing in her journal. I told her what are you doing  she responded  waiting for are cousins. finally 15 minutes  later  our cousins  came it was time for Sunday school.I don’t get it.Its only Wednsday. Anyway we sang songs and then all of us had chocolate cookies and other cookies . My friends and I made a Mad Libs  we heard church was over so we all ran outside. It was time to go . I had a supper fun time at church.

December 8
    My best part of the day was  when I got to go to Taewondo. I’m a fourth degree white belt soon I’ll be a orange belt . My obsessed sister is a orange belt but anyway my lessons started at 5:30. My teachers son named Jaden  was taking pictures and had a app that turned my face into a zombie. Class started we had a black belt, green belt, and to white belts. We started with 50 Jumping Jacks then 50 Cross Country Jumping Jacks. We only had to do as many push ups as you can so I did five push ups . Then came the swimmers we all got up and he a sighed we had to do what he said . Then we were done I got to change and head back up. Mom and I had to go I love Taewondo.

December 9
    The time I went to Salvation Army. We all started at the chapel. Gauge and I sat our stuff on the bench. We all had to bring Santa hat or something  with Christmas joy. Well I kind of forgot a hat at lest Mrs. Brown had two hats. I was one of the lucky  but then a lady told us to get to work. At first I put  food in the box about 17 times. Then I had a different job to stack boxes. There were like a thousand . Then lunch came of course I only had one pizza. That day we loaded 500 boxes about I will never forget that day.

December 10
    Gauge and I were watching X Factor . X Factor  started off with Rechel Crow shes 13 and she sang supper good. Rachel got four yes. Up next was Simon Battle she was ok  but Gauge loved her.She got three yes next up was Marcous Caunty . Morcous singed his heart out right away he got four yes.Then there was Stacy up next she was told she was nothing. Then she sang who ever told her that is a foul. Stacy got four yes I was so happy for her. Chris sang and he was spot on he got four yes to. I love X Factor.

December 11
    What I did on Sunday was one of the best days I had. It all stared when me and Gauge woke up at Gauge’s house. We both stared to watch X Men Wolverine. At the beginning it was awsome! It was a good movie but that was my second time watching that movie. All it matters I was with my friend. We stooped the movie to get some of Gauge’s style of hot coco. My first time I ever tried something so I can’t really explain it. At the end of the movie we were playing around when Gauge’s lip was bleeding. Then my time was up so I had to leave and go home.

December 12
    It was my mom’s week and we had to go to dad’s . After school we waited for about two hours. Then we went to dad’s. My step mom was on the computer playing some kind of game that she loves. I was board so I put a movie in the small TV. I was watching Nancy Drew were she got to go to a house with clues and a death. Then my sister was talking about  Carmon. Some fake story that gives me the scares. We ate dinner and waited for at least 15 min. I love my dad.

December 13
    It was gym time in Onekama school .We all stretches and ran five laps. Then we went to the old gym to play floor hokey. We got told how floor hokey goes .Their were three captins  Gauge, Jodi and Aric. Gauge said he was was going to pick me but he chose Morly. I held it together. Aric ‘s team won two times then we lost. The other team beat Jodi’s team but it actionly it was a draw. At the end we won I hope to be fit  all day.
