Dear Kindergarten and
First Grade Families,
The kindergarten completed their books about where they
live. They added pages showing their country, continent, and planet. The
first grade completed their geography unit as well by learning more on
how to read maps and map keys.
In math this week the first graders learned to add three
one-digit numbers, and practiced adding money amounts. Both groups have
been working on reading graphs this week. Kindergarten has been
participation in stations to practice skills that were taught throughout
the year.
We completed a whole group lesson about descriptive words.
We made a class descriptive word clues book.
Our buddy reading beach party will be next week Friday, May
27th. We will leave school just before 11:00 and walk to the
Onekama Village Park to eat lunch and enjoy the outdoors together for
the day. Anyone is welcome to join us.
