Third Grade Little Manistee River Weir Field Trip - 2010

At the Little Manistee River Weir we learned how eggs are taken from the adult salmon. These eggs will be cared for at the hatchery. Eventually they will be planted in local rivers.

We took some eggs back to our classroom fish tank. We will watch them grow until May when we "plant" them in a local creek.
