Onekama's Third Grade Students Learn About Arcadia at the Museum

On September 23 our third grade class went to the Arcadia Area Historical Museum. They taught us about the past . They taught us about Harriet Quimby. She was the first woman to get a pilots license. They also taught us about old stuff. I liked the museum. It was pretty cool. I hope we can go again sometime. The only thing was that it rained that day. Maybe it will be sunny when we go again.  ~by Eleanor

On September 23, 2010 we went to the Arcadia Fire Department. We saw lots of cool things. Like fire trucks and we got to see a heat sensor. It was cool. Then we got to try on the fire hats. One thing I learned was that the horns are loud. One more thing I really loved was that we got to climb all over the fire truck and we got to go in it and sit in it.

I want to thank Mr. Hull because if he would not have took time out of work we would not of been able to go to the Arcadia Area Fire Department. I loved the Fire Department. Thank you so much Fire Department for keeping us safe.
