On May 17th, 2011 Mrs. Brown's class and Mrs. Bennett's class went to Magoon Creek. We went to the to a beach at Magoon Creek park to learn about fish and aquatic species of the great lakes. The speakers showed us a small sturgeon, zebra muscles, agua muscles, and live sea lamprays. The lamprays were cool. Both of us tried to make the lamprays suck on our hands. It was fun trying to make the sea lamprays try to bite us. Then he told us about the most common fish in the great lakes. That was the science of Ichthyology.

There is a lot of stuff we want to talk about we chose to talk about the beach. They talked about sturgeon and how they are so much like dinosaurs but with no teeth. They showed us a real live sea lampray. The funny thing is it stuck to McKenna's hand! She says it felt like a suction cup. He also let us see a sturgeon skeleton. He was right it felt and looked and a dinosaur! We saw some zebra muscles and Quaga muscles. It was really fun!

Mrs. Brown`s and Mrs. Bennett's classes went to Magoon Creek! Katelyn and I say that our favorite was the Invasive Species. The classes stayed in one group the hole time. When we got to the Invasive Species we the classes got to play a game. We learned about how Invasive Species can make other plant life die. Then the class played a game. the class all had a great time.~ Chloe  & Katelyn

Our favorit part was when he pulled the birds from his pocket. We loved the purple finch because of purple and red breast. The Humming bird and its nest was very cool and did you know that they put likein on their nest. The eagles nest is big enough to hold about ten 4th graders.
