Dear
Parents,
Next
week we’ll study a new health unit called “Alcohol, Tobacco, and
Other Drugs.” We’ll begin the unit with a video called McGruff:
Drug-Free Kids in the distance learning room. The unit goals are:
-
Students will comprehend different types of drugs and how they
can be helpful or harmful.
-
Students will comprehend the potential poisons found in the
home.
On
Tuesday your child’s homework will be to identify household poisons
by labeling them with an Officer Ugg sticker.
On
Friday we’ll begin our class store. Throughout the remainder of the
school year students will have the opportunity to receive plastic
money for our class store for homework, good behavior, helping a
friend, answering a bonus question, etc. We will have class store
every Friday except the first Friday of every month due to school
store. The All about Me board will be transformed into “The Class
Store.” Once again, donations will be happily accepted.
The
same morning we will have a visit from High Tech Dental. Two
hygienists will come into our classroom to talk with our class about
proper dental health.
