Dear First
Grade Families,
This week during shared reading time we learned to read Citybook
by Shelley Rotner and Ken Kreisler. We completed a making words lesson,
added words to our word wall, learned some st-blend words, wrote about
our favorite part, and made a class book.
During math time this week we practiced addition and subtraction number
stories, and we completed our unit 2 checking progress. Graded tests
will go home next week. Please read the letter that came home regarding
Unit 3. Keep it as a reference as your child learns the concepts that
will be taught.
We joined Mrs. Ns class in the distance learning room and we watched
videos about the first Thanksgiving.
Conferences are being held November 24th and 25th.
Please call Mary Bergren, our secretary, to schedule a time to meet with
me and go over your childs report card. Mary can be reached at
889-5521. Conference times are Tuesday the 24th from 5-8
p.m., and Wednesday the 25th from 8-11 a.m. I hope to get the
chance to see all of you!
Students do not have
school on Wednesday, Nov. 24th, Thursday Nov. 25th, or
Friday, Nov. 26th. It is our Thanksgiving break.
