Arcadia Dunes

Classroom Hike

Our class went to the Arcadia Dunes Preserved.  We went through the woods and up Mt. Baldy.  Amanda and I thought that Mt. Baldy in the winter would be a good place to ski no.  I learned that club moss only grows where the air is fresh and pure. ~By Sylvia

Climbing Mr. Baldy

Mt. Baldy is big and baldy.  We went there with our moms and dads.  I learned that if you fall off the cliff that you will get hurt.  Mt. Baldy was 300 feet in the air.  I thought it was cool.

Onekama's 2nd and 3rd Grade Students Field Trip

We went to the Arcadia Dunes/Mt. Baldy.  We went on Mt. Baldy and stayed awhile.  Mt. Baldy was very sandy.  It was actually a dune.  It had little hills on it. We went with three volunteers, and some parents of the students.
I learned that when you see club moss it means that the air is fresh and pure.  I also learned that there is a tree that looks like it was made out of potato chips and spray painted bark-colored.

 Lake Michigan View

I went to the Arcadia Dunes.  The trail at the Arcadia Dunes is very, very long.  At Mt. Baldy was cool because you could see a lot of Lake Michigan.  ~By Aaron
