For social studies we
have been studying government. The fourth grade class was broken up
into six groups. Each group was assigned a government poster topic.
This was the cumulating project for the fourth grade for the government
unit. The poster topics were
Introduction to
Government
(including the definition of government, different types of government,
and who the government represents and provides services for),
Michigan’s
Government Structure
(research to get names of those who serve Michigan’s government),
Local Government
(including the braches of government and who makes up each branch),
State Government
(including the three branches, who makes up each branch, and what each
branch’s responsibility is with laws),
How a Bill Becomes a Law
(including the steps of the process), and
National Government
(including the branches and who makes up each branch). Each group had
to present their poster to the class. We are displaying them in the
hallway soon, so come check them out when you can. They did a great job
and learned a lot about government! |
