Fourth Grade Students Enjoy Junior Achievement

Every Thursday we have Junior Achievement with Mrs. Punches. We learn about businesses and corporations. We learned about a sole proprietor and a partnership. A sole proprietor is when you own a business by yourself and a partnership is when you have two people owning a business. We also learned about technophobes and technophiles. A technophobe is someone who isn’t comfortable with technology. A technophile is someone who is comfortable with technology and adjusts to new technical things fast. We played a game called Get Connected and it was about technophobes and technophiles. I learned a lot of things from Junior Achievement. I like Junior Achievement. ~Emilee

Every Thursday since April 8, 2010 we have been doing Junior Achievement.  We see Mrs. Punches and she tells us about Junior Achievement. First we learned about partnership, sole proprietor, and then opportunity cost. Then we learned about the three resources, the human resource, the natural resource, and the capital resource. We also learned about technophobe and technophile. I already knew about technology and scarcity. We also played Get Connected. I like Junior Achievement.  ~Emily

We learned that a sole proprietor means one person who owns a business. Another thing we learned about was partnerships and corporations. Those just mean bigger businesses and with more people and owners. We also learned about technophobes and technophiles. Technophobes are people who are afraid of or don’t want to try a newer peace of technology. A technophile is someone who will pretty much try any new peace of technology. I love Junior Achievement! ~Jeremiah
