Dear
Parents,
Next week
your child will take our first theme test (magazine test). This test
assesses your child’s comprehension, phonics/decoding, and writing.
This is one of four theme tests to be taken this year. It is one of the
tools used to measure your child’s reading abilities. During
parent-teacher conferences, I will review your child’s results with
you.
Our magazine test will begin on
Tuesday and should be completed by Thursday. On Monday I will be out of
the classroom. My meeting for Thursday was moved to Monday. Ms.
Deborah Brownlee is my substitute. I will be available before and after
school.
Our Halloween party is Friday
from 11:45 to 3:00 p.m. Students’ costumes need to come to school in a
bag with their name on it. If your child has a weapon as part of
his/her costume, it needs to stay at home. If you’ve sign up for a
treat, please let me know ahead of time so we
don’t duplicate treats. Currently Mrs. Gutowski is bringing a spider
web treat (chocolate & peanut butter). Mrs. Keys is bringing fruit and
dip. Mr. Torrey is bringing Jell-O and Ants on a Log. |
Enclosed you will find another enrichment
schedule. I’ve had to make some changes. Please replace this one with
the previous version.
