Thanksgiving Traditions
Assignment

for Mrs. N.'s Class

Next week we are studying the history of Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving traditions.  Your child’s homework assignment will last for most of the week.  On Monday your child should interview a grandmother or grandfather.  If they have a great-grandfather or great-grandmother, then it would be even better.  Your child needs to ask questions about Thanksgiving traditions.  Who was there?  How did they get there (transportation)? What did they eat?  What is the best Thanksgiving memory?

On Tuesday your child needs to write this information on our lined paper.  On Wednesday your child should add information about their Thanksgiving traditions.  On Thursday your child should turn in his/her work with best writing, and capitals and punctuation in proper places.  We’ll read them in class on Thursday and Friday.  On Thursday your child will choose his/her own homework book according to the color of the sticker on his/her desk for homework.
