Sleeping Bear Dunes
Field Trip 2009

I was running at full speed with the wind forcing me back.  I wish I was still there.  I felt like I was free flying.  I felt free.  My hair would fly up and get in my face making it so I couldn’t’ see. ~By Hobi

After we went to the dunes we went to the chocolate shop.  We got to eat chocolate.  The chocolate was good.  They told us about chocolate.  The chocolate comes from the cocoa  tree.  Paloma gave us a sample of chocolate. ~By Dylan

I felt very happy when Mrs. Catanese said we could go.  I felt the wind hit my cheeks.  I loved when we went to the chocolate factory.  I had some good chocolate.  I learned that cocoa beans come from the forest. ~By Jared.

Once you start running, you can’t stop, unless you fall. The picture looks like we’re flying because our feet are off the ground.  The dunes is a very fun place! When I am there I feel free. ~By Julia

It felt very exciting.  Only third graders went.  I was a good day at the Sleeping Bear Dunes.  At the sand dunes the ranger talked about how people should not go on the dune grass. ~By Katelynn

I am at the Sleeping Bear Dunes.  I am getting my shoes.  I like running down the hill. ~By Roberto
