Ms. Eichberger’s Class -  Weekly Information – Oct. 10, 2008

Dear Parents,

As mentioned in last week’s letter, I am preparing mid-quarter reports for your child.  They will go home by Friday, Oct. 17.  Please look for them in your child’s backpacks next week. These reports will narrate your child’s progress upon in language arts, social development, work ethic, and study skills.

Our house project is finished, and the students will display their houses in class until Thanksgiving.  This was a great project as it helped me to assess your child’s abilities in ALL areas.  Special thanks goes to Scott and Becky Feil who provided most of the wood for our project. Thanks to all parents who provided additional supplies.

Third Graders will be taking the MEAP next week.  Test days are Tuesday and Thursday.  Testing time is approximately one hour each day.

The second graders had a great field trip to historic sites around Onekama yesterday.  Our website will contain photos and captions written by the students.

Mrs. Catanese is working on rescheduling the third grade field trip.

There are several fall festivals happening this weekend.  On Saturday Oct. 11, there are fall festival events in Onekama and Frankfort.  The Douglas Valley Vineyard and Winery, located on Schoedel Rd, is having a fall festival just for children.  The weather is predicted to be sunny and warm.

Have a nice weekend.
