Island was sweet. The fairy was way cool. But it was so cold. I was
sprayed. We finally got there. It was nice to feel the cool breeze after
a hot, smelly ride on the bus. Soon a carriage arrived. We had brown
horses and white horses. We went on the white ones. I believe I forgot
there names. As soon as we were done with the tore we went with this
really funny guys carriage. That was the funniest ride ever. I forgot
his name to. Then we went to the fort. It was cool. I really think they
did a good gob on it. They had a gift shop witch I thought was funny.
After that we went down to the stores, I got some stuff like a butterfly
wing, rocks, a toy, and a magnet. Oh snap, I forgot to tell you about
the butterfly house. We took pictures of butterflies. The lady told us
they were missing 500 butterflies. Later we went on the ferry again.
This time it was not as fun as the bus ride home. Maybe next time I
should not insult the bus.

My
class went to Mackinac Island. My grandma came with. Her name is Jaci
VanVoorst. At Mackinac Island we saw horses, butterflies, Lake Huron,
and much more. We went on a carriage tour and ferry rides. I got a cool
hat, fudge and other toys. It was so much fun. We went to Fort Mackinac
and we saw the cannon shoot. I went to the original fort and there were
real cannons that they used at wars. There were the real bunk beds. The
floors were not level and there was a real fire place and a dungeon for
the bad guy. The best part of it was the fort.

Island was the most fun field trip I ever did take. One of the things
that I did was look in the buildings about the old days. One of the
buildings had a hole and there was a big chain with a cannon ball. The
ferry was fun in the end but boring and cold on the way there on the
ferry. The next thing we did was go to the butterfly house. There were
three men shooting off special guns. He said stand strait open cases
load up and shoot. Then they got a cannon and shot the cannon but we did
not see we had to get up 4:00 in the morning. It was rough but I was
excited so I got up after we were ready to go so we went to pick up
Julia.

On May 29,
2009 we went to Mackinac Island. I woke up at 3:04 and left with
Elizabeth at 4:50. When we were on the bus I sat by Emily B. We played
on my Nitendo DS. After an hour Jeremiah, Zoe, Emilee, Nick, Julia, and
I played on pictochat . A little bit later we were in Mackinac city. We
went on the ferry. We went on the top. Then we got on the carriage. When
we past the Grand Hotel our driver told us that Kid Rock comes to the
Grand Hotel for summer vacation. I asked the driver if could get me an
autograph from them. He said he would mail it to me and then we were at
the butterfly place. After that we went on another carriage to Fort
Mackinac. Our driver was hilarious. When we were at the fort we watched
how to do a cannon ball. Then we went to a restraint. After that we went
to a haunted house. The scariest thing was that the floor vibrated and
after that it was time to go on the ferry. We went on the bottom. After
that we got in the car and drove to Gaylord and ate with Zoe’s Aunt
Ronnie. Then we drove home.

souvenir shop. Then we got on another carriage. We went to the fort and
than we were free to go shopping. On the way back I sat on the top of
the boat .I thought it was ecsiting because I never been there but when

When we got to the fort we ate lunch. Petersons, Fitch’s, Hopwood’s,
and us went to the pizza place . the dads went across the street to the
pink pony. its where they served burgers and stuff like that. In the
morning the 3rd and 4th grader’s had to wake up at
4:00 in the morning. I was really sleepy and I kept on yawning. When we
were on our way home we stopped at Arbey’s. I got a kids meal. Then we
left. We made a fort on the bus. My favorite part was when we got to do
whatever we want. We went shopping to the gift shops. |

We went to Mackinac Island May 29th 2009. We got up at
4:00am. When we got to school we got our t-shirts and left at 5; 15 am.
We drove for 3 hours. We went over the bridge. Then we went back over
and stopped at Sephlers. That’s where we got on the ferry. The ferry was
bumpy. We got to the Island and got on the carriage. The carriage took
us to the Butterfly house. Then another carriage took us to the fort.
Then we went shopping. We got back at 9:00p.m. It was a fun time!

On May 29th we went to Mackinac Island. On May 29th
we had to be at the school at least at 5:00 a.m. in the morning. We
left the school at 5:15 a.m. My class had to catch the Ferry at 9:30
a.m. sharp. The Ferry was really fast. I went on top. I got wet a
little. It was just a few sprinkles. Once we got to Mackinac Island we
had to get on a carriage. The persons name that was driving the carriage
was Sam. Sam brought us to the Butterfly house. You guessed it that was
what we did next. At the Butterfly house we saw a whole bunch of
different butterflies but I don’t know their names the only one I
remember is the Monarch butterfly. After the butterfly house me, Sophie,
and my dad went to get a donut. I was partnered up with Sophie for
Mackinac and I’m glad because she’s my best friend. Then we had to get
on another carriage and go to Fort Mackinac. Once we got to Fort
Mackinac our carriage driver said “Don’t step in the puddles it hasn’t
rained today.” That was really funny. When we were at Fort Mackinac
there were fake people and they were talking. I can’t remember what they
were saying but that’s okay I guess. After that we had lunch then we
shopped around. I didn’t get that much but this is what I got a little
lylac candle for my mom, and a rock candy on a stick, and rocks you can
eat.

Island was so much fun because we saw horses, the fort, and butterflies.
First we went a crost the Mackinac bridge. It took four ours to
Mackinac. When we got to Mackinac Island we went on the carrge ride.
Going over the bridge it did not take us very long. It is five miles
long. On the island we went shopping. I got a hat, shirt, rock and
doughnuts. We saw an arch. That was AWESOME! On the carriage ride we
had a funny driver named Jason. The Island was interesting.

got there we went on a carriage ride. When we got off we went to the
butterfly house. One butterfly landed on my hat and hit my eyes. Then we
got out and got to eat doughnuts at another place. Then we went on
another carriage ride. Then we went to the fort. They fired off muskets
and a cannon. Oh yeah I forgot to tell you that we crossed the Mackinac
bridge. It was really really exciting. I think it was exciting because
we did lots of things.

the third and fourth grades went to Mackinac Island. We went on a tour
and we went to the butterfly house. We went over the Bridge and we had
to go on the ferry boat to get to the Island. I was on top of the boat
and I got really wet. When we came back the other side got really wet
on the ferry boat. The ferry was really fun to ride on to the Island
and the way back to Mackinaw city. What I really like about Mackinac is
that it has the best fudge and I like their shops and the haunted
house. The Mackinac Bridge I think it is 1 hour to get across.

My class
went to Mackinaw on May 29, 2009. The first thing that morning I had to
wake up at 4:00 and get ready and when I was done getting my dad took me
to School. When I got there the teacher just opened door and all the
kids started rushing in. So when I got in side the School I made sure I
had all of my stuff and then I got my t-shirt. After that we left. When
we got on the bus I ate a snack and played my game boy. When I got tired
of playing I would put my game boy away.

On May 29,
2009 my third grade class and the other third went to Mackinac Island.
On Mackinac Island the forth grade class had to come because they never
went before. When we were on the Mackinac Bridge it took us a little of
a long time to get on the other side. I am not bragging but we had to go
across the Mackinac Bridge two times. The bus had to cross the bridge
two times because we had to get on the ferry and so we were facing the
way back to school when we were on the ferry there big waves. When we
got on Mackinac Island we went on a carriage ride. When we got off the
carriage ride we went in the butterfly house .The best part was when a
butterfly landed on me. After that we got food and we bought an arrow
head and it’s a little sharp but not really then we went home. My
favorite port was in the butterfly house. |
