Ms. Eichberger’s Kindergarten October Newsletter

Alphabet Studies

We have concluded our 6 day study of the letter A.  We will study each letter of the alphabet for two weeks each – 6 days per letter.   Students participated in the following activities.

  • Making Alligators
  • Making Apples
  • Recognizing our Addresses
  • Going to the Apple Orchard
  • Classifying Animals
  • Reenacting Animals in our puppet theater
  • Counting Animals

It is suggested that you have your child practice forming their letters nightly.  A designated area in your home for this practice is ideal.  You could provide an array of paper, and writing utensils for this purpose.  Try to stick to a consistent time when you have your child practice their letters.

The following is a letter study schedule for the remainder of the first quarter.

  • Oct 8 – 19, The Letter B

  • Oct 22 – Nov 2,  The Letter C

  • Nov. 5 – 16, The letter D

Reminder

Our Physical Fitness Class is on Wednesdays.  Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes on this day.  Sandals and dressy shoes make for an awkward gym day experience.

Today at the Pumpkin Patch & Apple Counter

Library

We go to the school library each Friday.  Please make sure your child returns their book so that they may check out another.
