Parent Teacher Conferences Please contact Mary Bergren to schedule a P/T Conference. The office number is 889 – 5521. Conferences will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 5-8 pm, and Wednesday, Nov. 21 from 8 – 11 am.
Thanksgiving Week Schedule School will be in session for one full day and one half day during Thanksgiving week.
Letters D and E For the month of November we will be working on the letters D and E. Practice forming these letters at home with your child. We will be studying the following items in conjunction with D and E: deer, dogs, dinosaurs, dominos, dentist, dreams, dancing, dolls, elephants, earth, Eskimos, electricity, Egypt, eggs, and elves. |
Science Weather conditions will be a daily discussion in routine. View the evening news meteorology report with your child, or introduce the daily weather report in the newspaper. We have planted pea seeds in a special viewing window. We are charting the daily progress that our seeds make. The students have been introduced to the term, germinate. Prior to planting our seeds we soaked them in moist paper towels until they sprouted.
Math Number identification is also part of our daily routine. Help your child to notice and identify numbers in our environment. Examples include, clock, odometer, speed limit signs, gas prices, addresses, price tags, etc…
