DARE

This year we did a program called DARE (Drug abuse, resistance, education) On Monday night we graduated from it. We got a certificate. We also got to watch a slide show of funny pictures. After that we got cake and punch. It was so much fun.

 Dare Graduation was really fun. First we met in our classroom. Deputy Torrey gave us our graduation shirts and we went to the cafeteria. We sat down and Deputy Torrey and Mr. Neph talked about the DARE program. Deputy Torrey announced who got to go to Big Al's Pizza for lunch. The winners wer Devin C., Rusell, Megan and Kayla F. DARE was a fun program.

GRADUATION

The DARE graduation was really exciting. I was nervous to go in. The pictures were really interesting. We all got red DARE shirts. After we were done we had cakle and punch. It was fun doing the DARE program.

In Dare I learned Drugs are bad for you. Then we raised money for Dare so you would win a prize. I raised $200 I won the prize. I was so happy. That's what I did in DARE. ~Russell

On the 22nd we had our DARE graduation. What we did was get our diploma. The four people who were picked for Big Al's was Russell, Devine, Megan and Kayla. It was fun. ~Jon

 At the Dare Graduation Deputy Torrey told our parents what we learned during the DARE program which was to say NO and to not take drugs, drink alcohol, and not to smoke. Then he called up the winners of the DARE essay and I was one of them. So were Kayla and Megan. Then we watched a Power Point. Then we had cake and punch. Then I left. It was a lot of fun. ~Devin C

The slide show also had pictures of all the fun times we had with Deputy Torry and Darren (a stuffed Lion) Dare was Awesome! ~Elija.
Deputy Torrey took pictures and showed us. We got a congratulations paper. Kayla, Megan, Devin and Russell won pizza prizes. ~Tawny

It was fun having DARE. The coolest thing was when we put on the Day and Night Goggles for like we were drunk. I like having DARE. ~Dani

Dare was great because I learned what smoking can do to you. DARE is the perfect thing to help you know why drugs are bad. ~Eric

 The DARE graduation was fun. They had cake and punch. We got to hold the tiger. ~Hailey

DARE was fun, but I wanted to win. My mom told me what to write about but I didn't want to. I should have listened to my mom. She helped my brother win so I just don't know why I didn't listen to her. ~Jordan

I liked DARE a lot because we got to see the rubber chicken. We also got to wear these goggles. DARE was a fun program. ~Caitlin

 

It was good to graduate from DARE and get to see pictures of us and have our pictures taken and get to eat cake and drink punch. ~Thomas

 

I got there when it was ending. At least I got there when they had cake and punch! ~Payton

 Dare Graduation was a lot of fun. All of my friends came too. When I got there we had to go to the classroom and get a T shirt. Then we went to the cafeteria where we graduated. First we got a diploma. Next we watched a funny slide show with all of the pictures Deputy Tori took. Deputy Tori taught us. I like DARE and I wish we could do it again. ~Gerald

All of us in Mr. Neph's and Mrs. Brown's class graduated. It was fun I was the last one to get my diploma and there were no pictures of me on the slide show. But I had fun learning about DARE. ~Julie
The DARE graduation was so much fun .We got to wear special T-shirts, get certificates, watch a slide show with pictures of us doing the DARE program and we got cake and punch. Every fifth graders did DARE but not all the fifth graders were at the graduation. I had a great time doing DARE.  ~Katie

At the DARE graduation we watched a slide show. It had pictures of us with Daren. There was one with Jordan with his shirt over his head. There also was pictures of bowl a thon. I wasn't there but it looked like fun. We got our diplomas. It was a lot of fun. ~Jarett

On Tuesday April 22nd the 5th grad had DARE graduation. We had to write essays on DARE to graduate. There was an award for the person with a positive attitude, someone who asked and answered a lot of questions, and someone who did their work when they were told. I won the award for that! I was surprised. After the graduation we had cake and punch. I had an awesome time. ~Janique

 

Fifth Grade April 2008

 I had a lot of fun at the DARE graduation. Deputy Torrey made a slide show of what we did. He had a prize for the four best essays. Four people won to ride in the cop care and get free pizza. I had a lot of fun at graduation. ~Alexis

DARE is cool, like when we wore the goggles to see what it's like to be drunk. There were night goggles to see what it's like at night and there were day goggles to see what it's like in the day. We also got to put on hand cuffs to what it's like to be arrested. When we put on the goggles he threw a teddy bear. It was hard to catch it with the goggles on. Dare was Awesome. ~Kelsey

This year we had DARE. We had DARE every Monday. We graduated a couple days ago. We had DARE for a lot of weeks. I had fun at graduation. I had fun doing DARE. ~Andrew

We went to DARE graduation on April 22nd. We were handed a blue folder that had a graduation certificate in it. Then they showed pictures of us. Some of them were really funny. Then we had cake. Half was vanilla and half was chocolate. It was great. ~Jacinda
