Mackinac Island was really fun. I was in Ashley’s group. Her mom Shelli and her step dad Rob went too. Ashley and I got a light that lights up in your mouth. I also got a giant frog that grows when you put it in water. These two guys demonstrated how to shoot a rifle. After that we all went to Horn’s Bar. Then we got ice cream. We all had a really great time.  ~L.V.

            On 5/16/08 the fourth graders went to Mackinac Island. We had to be at school by 5:00 A.M. We left at 5:15. When we got on the bus everyone was tired. It was 3 and a half hour long for the bus ride. We got to cross the bridge. Everyone was amazed. I have been across the bridge before. When we arrived at the place where we had to go on the boat to go to Mackinac Island we had to wait a little bit. Then we got onto the boat. The boat ride was about 20 minutes. When we got off the boat we got on a horse carriage for our first part of the tour. At the first stop we went to a butterfly museum. That was very cool. Inside the butterfly museum the temperature was 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Then we got back on the carriage and went to Arch Rock. It was a big rock and it looked like a circle. When we left we next went to the fort. We had our lunch and then we got to go with our chaperons. My chaperon was my mom. My group was Randy and Braden. First we got some fudge. Then we went to the prank store. Then we went to this one park. Then we left. Then we went to McDonald’s. We got back at 9:30. I was very tired. This field trip was the best field trip ever!!!  ~Jon A.

            On Friday the 16 we went to Mackinac Island. We left at 5:15 a.m. and got bake at 9:00 p.m. We went in the fort. We went on a carriage ride. The cannon wasn’t loud. It was a really long day. ~Randy P.

            Our fourth grade went to Mackinaw Island. It was so cool. I had so much fun. First me and my class went on a carriage ride. Well we were on the ride we learned a lot. We also found that riding horses is a lot cheaper than in a gas car. After that we went to fort mackinaw. We got to see how a lot of solders were living. After that we got to do whatever we wanted with chaperones. So we went to a prank store that was very fun. After that we got fudge. It is so good!!! And to close the day up we went to a haunted house. Then we rode  the fairy home . We Had  a lot of fun and adventures well it lasted. ~jack  

            On May 16^th, 2008 Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Bennett class went to Mackinaw Island. For Mackinaw we had to get up around 4:00 am to get to school. On the way there we got to eat breakfast. When we got to the bridge we crossed it so 2 furan exchanged students could see what it is like. When we got back from crossing the bridge we went to the boating house. When we got there we got of the bus and got on the fairy. When we got on the island we took a tour on the carriage for a tour.
            After that we went to the Butterfly house. After we went to the dounut shop. I got a chocolate dounut and hot chocolate . After that we went on our second part of are tour. We went the national forest. Then we went the Fort. We ate lunch there and after we were able to roam the island. Me and my friend Alyssan, Hunter.e and Tiffany. I went in the haunted house with hunter and Mrs. Exo. After we went to the fort again and we layed in the grass. Me Alyssan, Courtney, and tiffany played tag. Then we went and got fudge. Then we got on the boat . After we headed to Wendys for dinner. After we came back school. I think mackinaw was fun! ~Keegan G.

            Mackinac Island was very fun. To get to Mackinac we had to go on a ferry. When we got off the ferry we want on a horse buggy.  When we got off the horse buggy we saw a lot of butterfly. Then we got on another horse buggy. We got off at the Mackinac Island fort. After we left the fort we want to the town. Then we got on the ferry. I like Mackinac Island. ~Keith Mckenney

On Friday May 16^th, 2008 we went to Mackinaw Island. On the way there it was so fun. It took 3 and a half hours. When we got to Mackinaw city we crossed the bridge, then crossed it again. Then we got on the ferry. Then we got on the carriage ride. Then we went on the first (1^st ) part of the tour. Then we went to the butterfly house. Then we ate. Then we went to fort Michilmackinaw. On  may 16 4^th grade went to Mackinac Island. We left school at 5:15am to coach the bus. I got up at 3:45am. I got up and had breakers. I got to school before everyone. I had fun on the bus. When we got to Wendy’s my dad was there to take me to camp. ~Jarrett B.

On May 16^th 2008 or fourth grade class went to mackinaw island. We had to be at the school at5:10cause the bus had to leave at 5:15. If you were not there at 5:15 the bus would have left you. You’d not want to be left. So I was there at 5:15! It toke us three hours and 23 minutes to get to mackinaw city. I was partners with somer my best friend I none her since we were in preschool. Her mom Shannon was a chaperon. Her name was chaperon Shannon. When we first got to Mackinaw City we had to wait for our ferry for about 15 minutes. When are ferry got there we got on the ferry ride it toke us 5-10 minutes to get to Mackinaw Island. When we got to Mackinaw Island we had to put on a carriage pin. Then we got on a carriage with two horses. There were about 102 horses on the island! WOW! There is only one human doctor four vets for the horses one fire truck. The carriage toke us to the butterfly house. In the butterfly house there was 100 species of butterflies. Then we went to a food place. Most people bought cappuccino or donuts. Then we went on a carriage with three horses. The carriage toke us to arch rock. Then we went to the fort after that we could go whatever we wanted to do. Our trip to Mackinaw island was fun.   ~J.N.

Our class went to Mackinac Island on May 16^th, 2008.It was three hours there and three hours back.  We got to stop once there and once back. We to cross the bridge. To get to the island you had to ride the ferry. On the island there's only one ambelins, two police cars, and three fire trucks. We got to go to the butterfly house .We got  to go on the buggy. My best friend and I went to the scary house. There was 17 fuge shops. On the way home we got to stop at Wendys and eat. I really liked Mackinac Island. ~Lacee 

           On May 16^th my class went to Mackinac Island. We left at 5:15 in the morning. It took 4 hours to get to Mackinac City. When got there we got on the ferry and rode to the island. At the island we got on carriages and rode to the Butterfly House. After that we got on huge carriages and rode to Arch Rock. Then we got on the carriages and rode to Fort Mackinac. At the fort we ate lunch and went to the magic store. We got ice cream. Then we got on the boat. ~Spencer P.

 This year our class went to Mackinac Island. We went across on the ferry. Then we went in are own group.  We could go in the museums. It was so fun. We got to go in a butterfly house. We went on a carriage ride. We got ice cream. It was fun. ~M.J.

            On May 16, 2008 we went to Mackinac Island. It was fun because we seen fort Mackinac. We also saw a cannon be fired. We went on a horse ride. We went to the butterfly house. Then I ate my lunch. I went to the haunted house. The people in my group were my dad, me, Jack, and Brandin.
            We went to town. We went to the prank store. We went to the park too. We played football until jack got a bloody nose. We went on the ferry there and back. I rode the top there and back. The bus ride up was loud! I rode with my dad on the way back. ~L.M.

            Mackinac Island was really fun .The bus ride took four hours. When we got to Mackinac city we went across the Mackinac Bridge. After that we turned around and went back to Mackinac city. Then we boarded a boat. The boat took us over to Mackinac island. When we got to Mackinac Island we took a tour. After the tour the tour guide took us to fort Mackinac. After we looked around at fort Mackinac we went down town to do anything we wanted to do. Around three forty five we went to the dock to head home. Mackinac island was really fun. ~M.H.
